3 RepliesI just want more of both kinds of maps. Long range maps for the pulses, scouts and snipers. Close range maps for the smgs, autos, and shotguns. We could do both.

1 ReplyI miss combined arms, and the maps that came with that mode. It made it feel like Destiny’s take on big team battle. I really hope it comes back with bigger teams.

Well Stasis needed to be nerfed, and Top Tree Dawn needs to be slightly detuned but we also desperately need bigger maps. So I agree with half of your statement.

Bungie Will rarely if ever make the right choice anymore. This repetitive over nerfing is getting so old it really needs to outright stop. There is such a lack of promised content and promises kept that the devs certainly don't deserve an ounce of trust anymore.

1 ReplyI'm conviced that this "nerf culture" is wrong from bottom to top. Sure, it can be necessary sometimes, but it can be the "meta" of solutions. They should buff what is weak so it would be good as the best skill/weapon/armor counterpart, instead to nerf the strong so it would be bad as everything else. Turn a strong player weaker because a weak player is crying his defeat is a foolish move. No one likes to be get nerfed but everione loves a buff; Bungie should just make the weak guy stronger, and everyone would be happy, and they would have time to give us new maps and game mods

1 ReplyWe HAD bigger maps. The complaint was that we didn't need big maps. Back then it honestly didn't matter. Back then it was called Combined Arms. It was a 6 vs 6 game type meant for vehicular dominance. You could find Pikes, Heavy Pikes, Interceptors, and even use your own Sparrows. It was really a Sniper's paradise on the outer edges of the map with mayhem running between them and the occasional Pike rider speeding around ramming and mauling unsuspecting players. I viewed it as heaven! I was distraught when I saw it was removed, and for what? Pathetic players who weren't cut out for it?! THAT I WHAT CRUCIBLE IS DESIGNED TO DO! Remove the chaff from the crop, if you can't cut it in crucible then you were never meant to be in it. IF you complain rather than adapt? YOU. ARE. WEAK. Adversity forges stronger Risen, we can't keep asking for nerfs, for game type removals! Because you ruin it for the rest of us, force us to be WEAK like the rest of you! The OP is right. we neeeeeed bigger maps! GIVE our weapons the true sandboxes they were designed to take! Picture it, an urban setting with wide open streets and floored buildings and closed quartered alleys- a map designed for everything!

Okay, let's imagine if they had made 6 new large maps and increased the size of all current maps instead of nerfing stasis. You'd have revenants throwing kamas from spawn to spawn granting them total team wipes every couple minutes. You'd have behemoths running from point to point like a chihuahua on crack. You'd have missile titans flying in from across a planet. All without the saving grace of cover. Small maps have a lot of issues, but one thing they don't lack is cover. And while the current speed of things makes that a little harder to rely on, imagine a big map with this speed. You'd still have people clearing the distance in the time it takes you to respawn, because that's just how fast and how far-reaching everything is now. Let them fix the game first. THEN demand your maps.

They did tell us since Sunsetting died, they’d nerf stuff instead. It sucks, but not unexpected. New maps would be cool though.

Small maps with next ti nothing for verticality! They start addressing that and the special weapon problem solved itself. Now of course they cant make them too big or all that turns into is camping the back with sniper and scout. But if they increased the map size by like 30% and added some different lanes and pidgeon spots! Add some verticality the gane would play much differently

Personally, I feel like bigger maps paired with the scavenger mods not having the ability to work in pvp would be huge.

3 RepliesBigger maps just mean people put on scouts/snipers and hide as far back as is possible. It doesn't circumvent necessary nerfs/buffs to fix up the sandbox.
