The neutral game is what makes it good, the super is actually not the greatest. Take top tree dawnblade away warlocks would be trash.
The only reason this has become an issue is because there are far more hunters out there, so they have more of a voice.
If you want people to stop playing warlock keep nerfing them like you always do.

10 RepliesAs a Hunter main, take an upvote. Top tree dawn is fine imo. High skill ceiling but rewards those who put the work in.

Whereas it's a great subclass and if it's deemed 'too strong' might need small nerfs... SMALL, Bungie... that's perilously close to exposing the real problem: If it gets hit too hard there is little to nothing to take its place or to use for PvP. The other classes have Warlock beat hands down, across the board. Warlock, right now is a one-trick, perhaps two-trick pony. You have to mention, of course, Chaos Reach as it's only other major contender. Despite having a bad neutral game, CR has a wall glitch, that will eventually be fixed. It has use in Trials where the lack of objective reduces the game to camp until you get your super - perhaps THAT needs to be addressed before removing the use of yet more subclasses. Lastly, it has extreme benefits on M&K, where unreasonably you can flip directions on a dial 360 and back. Try doing that on controller. That too should really be addressed. And Stasis: officially acknowledged to be the weakest Stasis of the three classes partly due to it bearing the brunt of the initial backlash against Stasis and it being OP...for 9 days. Equally, unofficially, you have top tier PvPers and commentators such as Cammycakes and Aztecross reaffirming how bad Shadebinder is now in contrast to Revenant and Behemoth - both still S-tier post-nerf. So, it leaves CR : situational, input dependant and ready to be patched and top tree Dawn slated to be nerfed. If they do 'touch' Attunement of Sky then I hope they do so when they buff the other Light Subclasses and are mindful of the overall comparative weakness of them and Shadebinder.

16 RepliesSorry but icarus dash needs to go down to only one dash then activating a cool down

3 RepliesAgree with OP taking away what little warlocks have left will all but kill the class especially for me it’s tough to compete with all the tricks of the trade hunters have there is some serious class bias going on in the dev department which needs to drastically stop NOW ! Balance is the main focus here so bloody balance things . Shade step gets abused a bit too much if you wanna go at it ! Nothing more infuriating than a hunter dodging to safety at a minuscule of health and be able to dodge away again so easily if losing yet again to a gun/ability fight . Hunters and Titans have the have the best Super/ability exotic harmony In the game a lot of warlock ones don’t really help PVP at all. In short stop making warlocks the support class the y need to be more offensive than defensive for super play and should be able to stand up better in PVP situations. Needing the top tree daw blade is a bullshit move just to make a already slow class slower so that hunters and Titans have the upper hand with mobility Buff the mobile of warlocks slow as snail balls ! Wanna nerf something nerf bloody titan mobility speed for a table class they move as fast as hunters do if not faster. The crucible maps can’t handle this speed as they are small and cramped. Make bigger maps if this shall continue

5 RepliesAs a titan main Warlock = NOT OP

4 RepliesBungie logic "Hey, skillful players are making the most of this high skill ceiling subclass.....better nerf it" Smh

20 RepliesI love how as soon as stasis is gone, hunters start losing their minds and crying foul ball despite their bullshit for the past year.
The only reason this has become an issue is because there are far more hunters out there, so they have more of a voice.
It didn't become an issue, it has always been a thing

7 RepliesWe are listening.... to the hunters.

2 RepliesBUNGO HATES WARLOCKS! They must have heard bout some whiny Hunter that got killed in Trials by some lone Warlock. If they have even the slightest chance of F'ing us over they do it ultra to hard. Never mind that Hunter stasis grenades STILL last way to long compared to all other grenades. But Bungo caters to Hunters sooooo :(

Already started working on playing with my other classes. Bungie is always quick to hard nerf warlocks so it'll be as bad a nova warp probably...

17 RepliesThe Destiny developer who said it is too strong is a warlock main and even said he’d love to keep it the way it is but it’s just too powerful. It’s getting nerfed and it needs it.

2 RepliesEdited by Mustafa: 6/9/2021 4:51:59 PMThe little -blam!- hunter mains, and some titan mains don't find it fair. But hunters are so balanced. Yeah, their revenant and shatterdive is so fair. At least titans were good. Now they suck. Edit: Stompees.

11 RepliesIm all for an icarus dash nerf if theyre addressing mobility as a whole aka stompees on hunters

15 RepliesEdited by JacobYes: 6/12/2021 1:58:36 PMI agree with OP. Hunters/Bungie are naive to their ability to be extremely annoying with shade step in the crucible.

Give all 3 classes an in-air dodge.

95 RepliesHunters movement and get invisibility - that’s what needs nerfed. Invisibility in pvp is a joke and the reason no one mentions it is because everyone is a hunter .. hunters are broken that’s why they’re the most used clsss in pvp period
-
9 RepliesJust take away Icarus dash and it will be in a good spot

Edited by BoogaSuga: 6/11/2021 6:54:52 PMI agree. Warlock base movement is easily the worst in the game. Even if played proper you are an easy target to an intermediate hunter or titan. Sadly if Icarus gets a hard nerf then stompee along with dune marchers need a hard look too. Then it becomes a war of attrition. Slowly brining us back to ultra slow mo year 1. No fun. Honestly if hunter had blink like d1 I'd nut. Then Titan could have twilight back. Then blink on nova could get fixed.

1 ReplyIf titan skating was nerfed than warlocks should not be able to do hyper dashes.

1 ReplyEdited by Vanier: 6/9/2021 7:14:32 PMPersonally I feel like if warlocks were given more options, than top tree dawnblade wouldn't be an issue. I mean think about it, when was the last time you saw bottom tree dawnblade in the crucible or even in pve? I personally can't. Now why is that? Oh I don't kno-.. wait a minute... it's because for the most part, it has little to nothing going for it, not to mention that it doesn't even hold a candle to top tree. Now I am not saying we should make bottom tree akin to top tree, I am just saying that if bottom tree was to be revamped and given its own strengths and weaknesses, it would be more viable. This all comes down to viability. The reason why a lot of people don't use certain things is because they aren't as viable as the best things. If for example, you give a person a choice between a new computer with new parts and everything, and an old computer with older parts, which one do you think the person is going to choose assuming they know the differences, and the choice is of no cost to them? Of course it will be the new one because it's much more viable than the older one. Now, if we were to get the older one and revamp it, update the parts and all, now, we have two viable options, albeit it with their own strengths and weaknesses. Maybe one has an intel processor, and the second one has an amd one. Or maybe one has a nvidia graphics card while the other one has Radeon one or something. You see what I mean? Viability is key. You give people an actual choice, and all of a sudden you see more diversity. This can and ( should also) be applied to PvE. Double shotguns aren't a problem, the way the encounters in raids are designed is the problem. Maybe, just maybe, if MOST of our fights (Apart from Garden of Salvation) against the raid boss(es) weren't in close quarters, we would see a lot of other weapons shine. Pair that with actual engaging mechanics and not simply collecting and dumping motes or something and all of a sudden you get a fun and an engaging encounter, or encounters for that matter. In conclusion, you can't keep putting a lolipop on the table and then subsequently complaining that someone keeps taking that lolipop. Maybe, just maybe, if you were to put out a few other types of candy, all of a sudden you'd see other candies being taken as well, and not just the lolipop. Edit: Btw, this doesn't only apply to warlocks.

Edited by Joulevette12: 6/11/2021 5:33:27 PMWait first of all it doesn't need a nerf the reason why it's high wins is because of it movement speed "Icarus dash" and Air Accuracy that's the only reason ppl use and you fail to realize that warlock have the slowest melee so bungie made up for it in range and burn tick damage in the game is trash compared to D1 so you shouldn't have a problem against this compared to Arc,Void, solar -shoulder charges, Weighted knifes plus a exotic that let you hold 2 and one that does more damage but I do think the exploding knife needs a buff to either on Aoe or damage But most of the time celestial fire is a pain in that ass when players get up close when you try to melee them but shoot fire and do to how slow the animations is you screwed so you have to shoot it before then

Only class that makes this game worth playing..
