edit*1(Upvoting in the top left as well as voting will help get attention.) edit*2(For all the people saying it isn't an issue, could you say why below?) edit*3(From my reading, I'm seeing that a lot of people saying this is not an issue are not actually reading my post. Please actually read it and then post your opinion. And keep it civil please.) Because of the Sherpa Emblem, there is a rising amount of predatory players who are just teaching Atheon for blueberries or carrying them through. That leaves them with a clear, making it harder for them to find a full raid sherpa. Most sherpas aren't doing it for much other than their joy of teaching or the small tracker on their emblem. While the emblem did introduce many more sherpas, it also increased the amount of low quality sherpas and carries. In the end, these players are stuck either trying to find another sherpa, or attempting to enter KWTD groups with minimal knowledge. This puts the mass of "1 clear refugees" into the hands of sherpas who are doing it for purely goodwill, not even a number on their tracker. Sherpas do not run these goodwill runs very often and they are far and few in between. In conclusion, while carries will always exist as an issue, changing the emblem to require full clears (which might not even be trackable at the moment) would greatly reduce the amount of predatory behavior going on. Players are taking away 10 players' learning chance for an emblem they probably only want for collections and will stop wearing in a week. The even most conclusive solution would be some in game pop up that clarified how important it is to get a proper first clear if they want to learn the raid through LFG. I contacted a moderator in D2 PC LFG discord (one of, if not the largest LFG on PC), and they said they could not do anything about it and that it is a Bungie issue. They told me they cannot set up a message informing players, and that even a sherpa posting that information would be considered spam. With all these convoluted rules throughout different outlets, solving this issue becomes complex, and the only ones that are suffering are the naturally naïve new raiders wanting to learn the raid through a sherpa run.
