Rally Barricade for Titans has been completely useless since autoloading was removed from the game, and it could really use a few buffs to make it a viable alternative to the safety provided by Towering Barricade in both PvE and PvP.
I think in addition to the increased reload speed (which, if it doesn't already, should max out your equipped weapon's reload), it should grant greatly reduced flinch from incoming fire while standing behind it, as well as max out your weapon's handling and ADS speed (like Snapshot). These buffs would only apply while standing behind it and make it actually usable in PvP as well as provide some nice buffs for your teammates in PvE.
The typology of how Titan Barricades should be, in my opinion:
Towering Barricade (normal): Provides complete safety to those who are behind it, but has no way to shoot through it and does not provide any buffs.
Rally Barricade: Provides only partial safety, is weaker but can be shot-through (due to being only half the height of Towering Barricade), and grants powerful combat buffs to those behind it.
Towering Barricade but with Citan's Ramparts equipped: Provides complete safety to those who are behind it but requires sacrificing your armor's Exotic slot for a weaker, shorter duration Towering Barricade, but it can be shot through for offensive/defensive use.

I like the idea of having the rally give additional weapon perks. Makes a lot of sense . Rest was too OP

Wouldn't you prefer to get new class abilities?

1 ReplyI wouldnt just say rally barricade needs a buff, empowerment rift also sucks arse in comparison to its counter part.
-
1 ReplySplash damage when behind a barricade needs fixing.

1 ReplyEdited by AbsolutZeroGI: 6/11/2021 1:59:36 AMNo, giving titans the ability to shoot through customizable cover would absolutely be the end of anything crucible related. Sorry but anyone can see how broken that is 2 miles away.

I wonder if they added an increase to recovery while behind the barricade if it would be used more. My biggest problem with it is that it always seems to get me killed.
-
2 RepliesHave it reduce flinch, sort of like a bipod. It'd be great for snipers, along with pulses as they get flinched pretty hard. A damage boost wouldnt work, itd just make 2 tapping 120s more common. A reload speed buff might work, but I think a sort of auto loading holster type thing would be a little better for the pvp side. That way, you always have something to fall back on thanks to the barricade.

Essentially when you place it it should do what Dragon's Shadow does for Hunters. Just place it and it auto loads every weapon you have on activation and then gives maxed out handling and reload when standing behind it. Seems fair to me.

4 RepliesA damage buff for those behind it would be good.
-
2 RepliesI'm surprised it doesn't get more usage tbh. Luna factions are still used in raids and other dps situations. Just surprised more people aren't using rally barricades on those situations in the event there's no warlock+lunafaction

the reduce flinch sounds actually like an amazing buff to the barricade

5 RepliesEdited by Talia Sendua: 6/8/2021 12:41:54 PMMake it Guerilla-Fighter like D1 had as perk. Rally barricade should do: * Increase reload speed while behind the rally barricade * peaking/aiming over the barricade increases damage resistance by 200% (yes, it did that in D1) * While firing during peak/aim-over you have increased precision and reduced flinch or increase handling That way we buff it for both pve and pvp. 4 RepliesKneeling behind a Rally should give a player a noticeable increase in weapon stability, handling and reload.
-
Should just have a choice between weak citans rampart barricade you can shoot through or icefall mantle style over shield barrier that make you a “tank” but suppressed all movement/abilities. Just make them intrinsic and get rid of the exotics.

1 ReplyEdited by RAUDRULF: 6/8/2021 7:07:00 AMImagine if each barricade had the ability to stun or damage enemies according to their subclass. Solar gives a omnidirectional solar blast setting enemies on fire - with Kephris horn it gives you an extra front facing solar blast. Arc - send out an arc pulse shocking enemies Void - supressing blast Stasis - slows and freezes enemies Potential darkness sub classes (Corruption) - traps enemies in a spiked field (Gravity) - blasts enemies into the air.

2 RepliesEdited by Argonian_Austin: 6/7/2021 11:38:00 PMI want one of the barricades to be a mini dome, big enough to fully cover you when crouched. And when not crouched your chest and higher can be shot.

2 Repliesthey should just make it deploy really fast

I actually think Rally Barricade should greatly increase recovery stat, reload speed, and stability, while also greatly reducing or negating flinch for anyone behind it. Negating flinch would be so useful in PvE imo... All barricades should provide resistance to AoE damage in pve too. A major reason I hardly use either is because of how many enemies just continue to deal damage through the barricade with Area of Effect damage, which commonly results in a death, whereas just running to actual cover would have seen me survive. Definitely needs a buff, whatever they do.
-
I think that asking for too much for a class ability. Maxing out reload and greatly reducing flinch from incoming fire would make it a powerful enough ability in both PvE and PvP.
-
I’ve been saying this for years. I think it needs to be something new entirely, it was only ever good when it auto reloaded. I do like your thinking but even with all those buffs I don’t think it would be enough. What I would like to see on both barricades and rifts is a huge buff in activation animation.
-
Why not just have it give some small damage reduction in pve and pvp
-
3 RepliesHmm. How about this: Rally Barricade reloads weapons automatically 1 round at a time like Actium War Rig does for autos and machine guns.
-
Rally Barricade - Reduces flinch, improves handling, accuracy, and stability (old guerrilla fighter) when aiming behind it. Healing Rift - Improve the Overshield in pvp to 75 HP. Speed up the animation. Also tired of Warlocks being relegated to the “Support” role and Titans not being able to be true tanks. A warlock should be heavy ability and Magic based with an emphasis on grenades and supers. Think D1 Voidwalker. A support option is good but that shouldn’t be everything a warlock has. Titans have gotten some more tank-based exotics recently, but a boost to what resilience does in both PvE and pvp would be solid. Giving classes a base +10 to their main stat would help make Titans be able to achieve higher tankiness easier.

Something would be good to improve or make it useful . Haven’t used in years ….waste of space .

Edited by TJ_Dot: 6/8/2021 3:25:16 AMI firmly believe Auto Reload wasn't the problem, but the encounters it "broke" instead. Destiny Raids being all "join together friends and hold hands" literally encouraged it. To nerf things over receiving expected results is ridiculous and highlights how stale the "damage phase" has become. They should never have made it and while removing is a course correction, it doesn't really inspire change at the root of the problem. I praise Crota and Oryx still for being different

2 RepliesIt just needs to return to what it was before just like with lunafactions. Bungies constant need to nerf thing that dont need to be nerfed just needs to stop.
