Losing the ability to instantly shatter my glacier grenades is too much, especially in pve. I am of the firm belief that the nerf that should have been applied is that titans can only use the slide once every 5 seconds instead of twice. If any other nerf needed to be applied on top of that it would simply be reducing the distance the slide covers. Adding the sprint requirement to the slide is the absolute dumbest nerf you could have thought of. Given that now freeze only lasts 1.35s in pvp also, and you need to sprint for 1.25s before sliding the window available to use the slide to shatter the frozen target is so small that I challenge you to find someone that can consistently pull it off.

Agree. Why have an Aspect with single Fragment specifically oriented around sliding through ice, and then make it super challenging to slide through the ice? Seems broken now... not worth using as an Aspect anymore, might as well roll with something that gives 2 Fragments and forget about it. Overall the continued Stasis nerfs have made Behemoth feel buggy. It went from a new expansion with new subclass & mechanics that brought an entirely new aspect (punny) to the game, which after years of playing the same subclasses felt really cool (also punny) - and now after all the nerfs I feel like going back to Arc or Solar is the obvious choice... but that's boring and not why I came back to playing the game when Stasis was released with Beyond Light. There has to be a better way than to constantly introduce buggy mechanics into what felt like a refined and well-tested subclass originally.

I agree. I'm alright with the other nerfs, although they should've looked more at the bigger picture. Feel like the super is really underwhelming now since people can outrun you and the damage resistence is so little that people can shotgun melee kill you. But that's OK, the class could use a nerf. However, the nerf to the slide is too much. Glacier nade is pretty much useless now. I would expect some similar adjustment like the shatterdive got - a cool down after each use but no sprinting or that kind of bs needed to activate it. Like you said, 1.35s freezing and 1.25s sprinting to activate your slide ability doesn't add up.

This nerf definitely made PvE Behe feel terrible. It was fun sliding through ice walls, now it's almost impossible to pull off in anything worth doing. Good luck finding enough runway when surrounded by thrall. I get that it was nerfed because of slide shotty, but it's ruined the whole subclass. I'm not sure what the alternative could have been, but considering that PvE Behe was already iffy compared to other Titan subclasses in PvE, it was just too much to keep it close to the pack. Maybe increase weapon ready time out of cryoclasm would have done the trick (keeping that mobility available, but reducing the threat of it at ridiculous ranges).

The slide was the one thing that made Titans mobile and agile. Now it just feels clunky. I don’t care about the other nerfs. The better option would have been to put the original cool down in effect after 1 slide instead of 2. Having to “charge it up” before sliding makes it feel too clunky. It was just nice to have a get away tool like the other classes have. Warlocks have the dash, and Hunters have so many get out of jail free cards it’s laughable. Nerf the super into the ground, nerf the melee, nerf the grenades, but nerfing the slide in this manner made the subclass play like every other Titan subclass. Slow and clunky…The slide made it possible to play fast and get in and out of spots. It was great for evading much like the other classes with their abilities.

4 RepliesSliding needs nerfs in general. You think some guardians would have roadburn on thier asses from all the sliding they do.
-
Behemoth wasn't good in PvE before. Now, it's literal dogshit.
-
6 RepliesBoohoo. Atleast you HAVE a shatter ability.
-
Just adapt.

Just adapt

Stasis should never have been nerfed in pve period on all three Guardians
-
Agreed. The existing CD just applying after a single slide would've sufficed.

1 ReplySo how should they have handled it?
-
Oh you’re upset that Titans got A nerf? About time y’all showed up to the nerf party Hunters & Warlocks been here since the start of the game… 🙄
-
Should’ve been done months ago.
-
Im a Hammer Titan main that barely plays pvp and even I got sick of being destroyed by Behemoth.
-
Should be 1 slide on a few second cool down like the dawn blade dodge and the shatterdive.
-
1 ReplyWhile I am sympathetic to your plights as a Titan for Stasis in PvE, Warlocks still can’t shatter crystals outside of Super…at all. If they completely removed it, that would be bad. I’m sorry it’s not as good now though.

Edited by Vegeta4101: 6/8/2021 11:47:49 AMI feel like it's fine, the only thing I would say they butchered and need to bring back a little bit is the charge melee you do with stasis. It's horribly slow and hit detection is awful. But then again, Hit detection has always been awful lol.

1 ReplyBungie always over nerfs. That's why this game sucks and will never have true balance. Well that and horrid map design.

2 RepliesEdited by LordScottishW00F: 6/7/2021 3:10:37 PMI 100% agree over nerfed, anyone remember antaeus ward? Now who still uses them? The proper nerf should have been 1 slide then x seconds cool down if they keep it this way it'll be sure the share the same fate as antaeus

1 ReplyI get the feeling Cryoclasm was nerfed specifically to prevent every Titan from being able to pull off the FreezeNade+Shatterslide combo, since the timing is so tight now. I mean, I'm not sad it's gone from Crucible...but that is a major disadvantage for PvE Stasis users.

The simple solution should be that sprinting into glaciers should shatter them, similar to how the behemoth super works now. I shouldn’t have to slide to smash it. I don’t think sprinting into an ice wall is any easier or more difficult than the old slide or shatter dive which won’t disturb PVP much but will make PVE behemoth a lot more viable.
-
Nope.
-
It's only pve I'm concerned about I'm ok with pvp side of it

2 RepliesOne proposal I've seen is having it so that the Shatter effect itself doesn't require a build-up, but the extra distance would. We can already slide from a near-standstill to activate things like Howl of the Storm and Tempest Strike, but being able to slide 9 meters instantly and in back-to-back, rapid succession is something I think most can agree was too powerful.

Stasis as a whole was overnerfed. Im a hunter btw. So today i shatterdove right next to my glacier and to my suprise nothing broke at all. Idk if thats just latency but but there were other nonlatency issues tonight too and it seems to me that although in the right hands stasis can still be deadly, half of its abilities on all classes are essentially useless. Like whats even the point of shurikens anymore. They literally do nothing and they never hit anything anymore anyway. But yeah i agree glaciers are hard to break.
