Witherhoard catalyst quest
wtf is this quest? 300 strikes is ridiculous. I'm supposed to get bonus for completion but I still only get one point. Can bungie like change this??????????

all catalysts would have such a condition! Tommy's matches require me to kill 100 of them! and his damage is scanty

Trust me bro, witherhoard Caty is worth the grind. With the nerf to quickdraw and the fact that it has auto loading, the perks from the season artifact.........spicy. I don't mean to toot my own horn but it's my favorite GL in the game AND I even have Anarchy, but because of its ease of use I racked up my 16 thousandth kill with it. Keep grinding man.

Bungie: If only you were playing when that was the free Exotic for the Season Pass. Then you could have the perks that speed up the process. Maybe don't stop playing our game from now on?

Before with erinas vow you needed it equipped for it to count. Atleast this was changed moving forward.

At least with this quest you do get a "bonus" for doing the Nightfall strike. Try completing either Eriana's Vow or Symmetry outside of their respective seasons where it's only the strike playlist that counts (Not including Gambit or Crucible, but you can make progress in these playlist as well) Talk about a bloody pain in the ass. Thankfully I completed Symmetry a while ago, but I'm at 340 on Eriana so I may get it finished by the time Witch Queen releases. (As a solo player [mostly], I barely stomach doing the 3 strikes for the weekly milestone)

Theres no way I did 300 strikes to get it. I remember it took a while, but nothing too bad 🤷♂️.

Seasonal exotic cat quest are only buffed by their respective season pass during that season That said, its worth it. Auto-loading is a game changer for it

Which would have come down to 75ish strikes. I think you get bonus progress through nightfalls though? Honestly can’t remember.

It’s designed for FOMO/FOTM. You buy the DLC season pass for the seasonal “boost” that only lasts 3 or less months. Once it’s gone, you have this super high number you have to do. Hence the “subtle” push to “must” buy. It’s the same mental trigger casinos/mobile games do.

It takes forever since the bonus progress only applies in its original season (which is long gone). The catalyst makes the weapon super good though (auto loading holster is mint).

Season Pass owners get a 4x Bonus at leverl 22-24 of the Pass, so during that Season it's kinda easy to complete the Catalyst, but if you get it "out of the Season", well... that's it. It took me 3 months to complete Eriana's Wow and now I'm in the same situation with the Simmetry lmao Best thing to do is just completing things in the background and not grinding for them. It would be a straight way to mental burnout.
