Savathûn's song has infected the city
While trying to walk back a lot of her "terse" comments toward Misraaks, Lakshmi made note of the songs being sung in the city, the one she recited being set to the tune of Savathuun's song. Obviously this has massive ramifications for the narrative as we move into Witch Queen. I'm curious what you all think the consequences of this will be?

2 RepliesI think the endless night is also savathun given we see a taken hydra at the end of the splicer intro mission. The widespread infection of the city with the song during this whole thing can't be a coincidence. If I'm correct about this theory, this is genuinely terrifying especially since we have no idea what the song can do. Not to mention Osiris did say "who knows what else might lurk inside their network." I smell foreshadowing in that line, even more now that the song is getting out of control.

3 RepliesMe and a coworker have been discussing what is coming next and we've come to the conclusion that due to various context clues from past seasons, the Strangers ability to jump to different branches of time, Saint knowing us in the past and no one else seeming to(hinting that he is perhaps from a different branch as well), that we are going to lose against the Darkness. Then, once we lose, our guardian is going to jump to a different branch alongside the Stranger, into the past and we'll essentially "start over" This would allow Bungie to bring back old content with small rewrites now that Activision doesn't have a say in things, while also making for some rather interesting conundrums that could be explored with future knowledge, Stasis showing up "sooner," and preventing some unfortunate fates. The more story that is unveiled this season, the more convinced I am that a sort of "reset" like that is coming, and after just hearing that a large portion of the city has apparently heard the song, I feel it's basically set in stone that we are going to lose the fight.
