If they sunset pinnacles because of stuff like revoker which just gives you ammo back for missing there’s no chance they give us a weapon that gives free ammo for existing. Also it’s extremely boring when all the strats devolve into “stand here and shoot with icebreaker till it dies” there’s no point in having other weapons if every solution to an endgame encounter will revolve around 1 gun. Same could be said for anarchy at the moment but at least you need to have ammo for it.

Well I’d like zen meteor back because I want my sniper rifle to catch fire, I’d like ice breaker but they won’t plus it wouldn’t be the same as d1

No, it broke encounters and the PvP Sandbox.

I don't really care if Icebreaker comes back or not, but if it does Bungie would have to rework the main perk.

3 RepliesI seriously do not understand what people see in Ice Breaker. It looked kinda cool, but even in D1 it had literally no perks. The ammo economy (PvE and PvP), encounter design, and Crucible maps do not lend themselves to situations where you would need a sniper with ammo regen. I do not understand what you would get from Ice Breaker that you would not get from literally any legendary sniper. If anything, Succession with Reconstruction does everything you would want from Ice Breaker.

Hell no That gun alone broke the ammo economy in the crucible. It was even worse then the Revoker because it pulled ammo out of nowhere. Not wanting to deal with that ever again.

I don't know if Ice Breaker will ever retun on D2, but if this happens, I'm pretty sure it won't return as it was in D1. I'm talking about the ammo regeneration over time. Bungie changed direction when is about ammo economy in D2. The return of Whisper of the Worm [i](formely knows as Black Spindle in D1)[/i] showed that "ammo generation from thin air" is a big mistake in this game. Bungie is now very carefull about it with auto-reloading effects and random increased damage [i](Hawkmoon is another clear example)[/i]. If Ice Breaker will ever return, it would nice to see it in a different shape, with some new Exotic Perk to make it still unique.

No, leave it in D1. It's my all time favorite exotic, but I don't want an ammo generating gun in the game. It would make raid encounters too safe, and in crucible it'll be everywhere. Leave it in the past, let's get NEW shit first

3 RepliesWhy do people think this’ll ruin PvP? We already have scavenger mods that let us pick up like 2 shots and then you can put double scavenger on for like 4 shots. This would not be broken especially if the regeneration is super slow like it should be.
