Instead of constant complaining and bickering about each and every one of the classes, I've decided to make three threads (one for each class), asking players and forum users what they would change the make it their ideal balance of the class.
Please do not incite hate on this thread at all. That is not what this is for.
Please describe what you would change/add/remove to the Hunter class to make it ideal for the game.

I'd make people making hunters sign a waiver at character creation that forfeits their right to complain and cry about anything that kills them in PVP. To enforce the loss of rights, any forum post related to their Xbox gamertag/PSN ID/PC ID that contains specific keywords like Nerf "X" results in an hour PVP and Gambit ban. Literally the only changes I'd make. Watch player participation drop like a rock, and constructive discussion rise to untold heights. 1. Tether automatically suppresses on impact. 2. (All classes) Update exotics. 3. Reduce flawless execution range (or remove). 4. Buff blade barrage rework neutral game. 5. Top tree arc staff need some buffs.

As a pve centric player who mains top tree nightstalker (STILL rocking Orpheus Rigs) My biggest issue is watching tethered enemies just straight up walk out of my tether. Bullshit.

1 ReplyI want an Exotic the converts the dodge into a shoulder charge (more like a kung fu kick than a shoulder charge) which is a guaranteed one hit kill, and has a 90 degree hit window, and takes no skill whatsoever to use.

1 ReplyHonestly, it's not that hunters need to be changed, it's that the other classes need to be brought up. Let's focus solely on class abilities. Hunter dodge is the strongest ability in game imo. Allows quick bail out opportunities, reloads weapons, Grant's a melee, invisibility, slow, weapon reload etc and the abilities activation and use takes practically no time. The warlock rift can heal, grant bonus damage, and freeze.. but once it's down you either play around the rift or bail because you're not getting pushed. Not sure of the cooldowns for rifts, but the animation takes longer and can get you killed. Titan barrier. Can tank a small amount of damage and the rally Grant's faster reload. More times than not putting it up while being shot at gets you killed. However in game modes like trials it does come in handy however it doesnt mean jack towards a proper team. This is a breakdown of the abilities without coupling them with an exotic. Barriers and rifts need help, they take too long to get out, and dont grant the instant benefits of the dodge. I'd take the exotic perk from kepris horn and make it part of the ability, having different effects for each subclass. Arc could have a pulse grenade effect, void could cause a temporary suppression effect, solar could cause a sunspot, and stasis could slow or freeze. Rifts are a bit tougher to work with imo I dont have a good fix for it lol.

Its the only class that didn't need buff or tweaks to play it intended role. Use your tools and finesse. Easy. Warlocks have an identity crisis, onr minute they are super wizards the next completely powerless. Titans are only just now being made the correct way and the community is going nutz. Hunters do exactly what they need to do and the only thing they need as usual is exotics to enhance their innate ability. You don't have to tweak a hunter much like the other 2. Its so balanced its broken. The warlock is so unbalanced its barely playable and the titan is truely because a titan.

I rather go back to the skill trees of D1. Way more options for each subclass.

Edited by Ghostfire239: 5/27/2021 12:57:11 AMI would definitely do something about Wormhusk for PvP only. Having access to a chunk of health simply for dodge is too much. I would suggest, having some prerequisites in order to get health back. For example: Wormhusk now requires kills to gain stacks. Dodging when you have stacks will give you health back. How much health you get back will depend on the number of stacks. Dodging consumes all stacks you have built up. 1 kill = 1 stack 1 stack gives you what you currently get with Wormhusk 2 stacks gives you about half 3 stacks gives you full health. That way, the exotic actually requires you to earn your health back, while also encouraging you save your dodge while you try to get more kills. One thing that I would like to see a buff for is Graviton Forfeit. The increased invisibility duration isn’t particularly noticeable most of the time. It should provide a more significant duration to your invisibility. Lastly, nerf slow and nerf the way the new aspect affects Coldsnaps. Slow needs to affect movement only. Weapons should not get affect by slow. The touch of winter aspect makes Coldsnap way too strong. TL;DR Rework Wormhusk. Nerf the Slow debuff, and the touch of winter aspect. Buff Graviton Forfeit. A personal wish for me, is to see Bakris work on all subclasses. It’s won’t be even remotely as strong as it is on stasis so I don’t think it would be as much of an issue on light subclasses. I just want to use shift with Golden gun.

Edited by CRADLE MOUNTAIN: 5/27/2021 12:37:28 AMI wouldn't mind having the following: 1. Health regen or overshield as an optional class ability somewhere 2. Increased protection or an overshield during supers 3. Slightly increased base mobility 4. Increased damage on Blade Barrage 5. Precision shots with top tree golden gun or 6 rounds (not 3) in the bottom tree. I have 3 characters and they're all hunters. The other 2 classes never interested me but I must admit, I'm often impressed when I see the other 2 classes open up one of their supers. Looks awesome.

I've returned after a while of taking a break and was here after the Stasis already blew everyone away. I honestly saw no problems with the mechanics. So all and all supers and Stasis are just fine. I still think alot of the exotics for hunters need a bugf though. I think all classes too. You barely see a variety now and really some are just lame. That's really my only complaint aside from microtransactions out the ass and Bungie breaking something every update. But I think things with Hunters are in good standing but a few bluffs would be nice to our gear since we are a utility/versatile class.
