Here's some of the problems I found with the Atheon encounter

1. You can destroy the oracles in time and the game will tell you a second later that your time ran out. 2. Sometimes the order that the oracles appear in the Atheon room don't correspond with the oracles in Mars/Venus. 3. The person with the relic can get the imminent detain thing which makes absolutely no sense because they're supposed to block with your team. 4. The relic is supposed to give you increased damage to your teammates while blocking. It's not doing that right now. 5. Some supers and projectile based weapons and even some hitscan guns can't shoot through the relics barrier. 6. If you cast golden gun during damage phase, you can end up being stuck in the animation, unable to jump or shoot, but able to walk off so that someone can revive you back to normal. 7. If the relic holder drops the relic during dps, which is a very, very important thing when dealing damage because again, the relic doesn't give your teammates a buff, you and your teammates are sometimes unable to pick it back up again and you're stuck there looking at it for 3 seconds spam holding the pick up button without anything happening which causes your team to wipe. 8. Too many supplicants. 9. Atheon moves too much during damage phase. 10. You get a detain mechanic during a 30 second damage phase where the people who were shooting oracles essentially get 15-20 seconds to do damage which makes absolutely no sense at all. 11. Oracles are iffy. I personally think they're fine but shooting them in an order can be annoying. And it isn't fun at all. 12. Revives can end up getting stuck in a place where players can't get to unless they transcend past the laws of physics. 13. Add more below. I'm sure there's many more.

    Pretty much everything you said here is user error or just straight up factually untrue. I had a lot of the same issues on day one but I have a lot of experience at atheon now and can confirm that everything you said is avoidable. The only thing is the bug where the relic disappears which is super annoying, but the rest are either just an opinion or a problem with your team coordination. Specifically the thing about oracles not corresponding, it may seem that way if your callouts or off or if you are unfamiliar, but I promise you it is 1000% a lapse in communication because it is not possible for the oracles to not correspond, that is the whole point of the mechanic. I have spent more time fighting atheon alone than Id like to admit and I have never once had a oracle fumble that is the game's fault, it is always a fixable mistake.

  • 1. You have ages 2. No. 3. Drop relic, relic isn't needed for protection in d2. 4. Don't know don't care 5. Was like that in d1 6. ??? 7. Once it goes past 3 seconds it's basically game over. 8. Feels the same as d1. Nade them or don't touch the floor. 9. He did that in d1. His hitbox is massive, div exists, aim assist exists, MnK exists. 10. Detain activates halfway through damage, person moves to a good spot and you lose almost no time. Oracle people can get more damage time if you're quick enough. 11. A mechanic that makes you think and destiny gamer dads don't like it. Shocker. 12. Very rarely. Just don't die, especially near the funny floor area. 13. Destiny players cannot do simple mechanics so Bungie should make more and more until they quit or learn.

    • The only thing that should change is the damage phase for atheon. Just a little extra time like 5 seconds more. Everything else is fine the way it is

    • - Atheon bypass the relic barrier if the shots are dealt at the floor for some reason, they deal splash damage. - Relic super used to refill faster when not in [i]time revenge[/i] this would allow you to shoot it to help destroy the oracles, not anymore, you have to save your relic super for those [i]Garden of salvation[/i] Minotaurs with immunity aura because it refills way too slow.
