VoG is now officially dead
Bungie, after contest mode has gone away please tell me you’re going to make this raid less complicated? This is easily the most stressful, hardest raid to date. I truthfully would rather get gate keeped in trials for hours than ever try VoG again. It’s even more disappointing because VoG has one of my favorite armor sets to ever be added, I guess I won’t be getting them anytime soon though.

It is easier. Contest mode is for streamers to complete, not us regular job working gamers. I got stuck on Templar, but did not enjoy the raid very much. I’m not that into it, done it many times in D1.

8 RepliesTo anyone of you who are saying that I’m a “crybaby” or “git gud lol” please do yourself a favor and humble yourself or learn how to read. I specifically said “once contest mode is over, I hope it gets easier.” The reason I said it the way I did is due to the fact my team was stuck at oracles for almost 8-10 hours. I was tired and exhausted. I really truly can’t believe how toxic 99% of you are just due to the fact that someone is sharing their opinion. Since some of you wanna call me terrible, now that contest mode is over me and my usual team are currently at Atheon. The raid is a walk in the park without contest mode on. I’d also be willing to bet most people who replied to me haven’t solo’d a Gm without glitches so I mean 🤷🏻♂️

1 ReplyIf you can count to 7, and know how to shoot your weapon you can complete the raid. You are just bad or lazy. The old one would really have been a glorified strike if left alone. Just communicate and know your oracle placement and you will be fine.

What do you expect? The returning of Vault of Glass is a glorified update that should have been accomplished when 390 Vault of Glass came out during rise of iron.... More people might actually completed multiple times if it was a completely different raid same bosses but different mechanics with different Rewards. I told people on Reddit so many times that Vault of Glass in Destiny 2 should have been a completely different experience and their reaction is to call me a trash player. Even though I play Destiny since 2014 I played all of the raids in Destiny 1 lol.. I even try to explain to them look at the cosmodrome nobody goes there unless they have to if the cosmodrome opened up new areas that we never seen before offered new rewards that we have never seen before more people would actually go there...

I won’t say “get gud” but it is a RAID. It drops some of the highest stat rolled armor and some of the “best” weapons with certain perks. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE HARD/CHALLENGING that’s why it’s considered ENDGAME. It’s been like 2 days since it launched. Give yourself time to learn the actual mechanics. Sounds like you just want it handed to you.

So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold
