It's shameful how long it's been since the game has seen new or heck, even RE-ISSUED maps. This is the thing that upsets me the most right now. Sure, Stasis seems wildly unchecked and almost like Bungie's way of trolling people with how much it breaks the game, but the fact that they've added 0 content to the Crucible in ages is the most disappointing thing about PvP in this game imo. Also no anti-cheat on PC, can't forget that.
I'm shocked that hardcore PvP players aren't leaving in droves, or maybe they are or already have? I'm not sure, I'm just a casual crucible player.

1 ReplyThe sooner PvP goes away the better.

1 Reply598 days I think. Its amazing to think they brought out a whole new location with beyond light and couldn't even add one in for that.
-
2 RepliesEveryone complains about stasis and shotguns. Meanwhile, Wish ender, Le Monarque and Chap are worse

46 RepliesImagine if those hardcore PvP players played the other 98% of the game. They might find that PvP is an afterthought forced by Activision to get the Call Of Duty players to invest time, and Bungie are now focusing on a story driven co-op PvE MO Action RPG - even if those stories aren't very well written. The PvP sweats might find what the game is really about. I dunno. 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah, pvp isn't in a good spot at the moment. With stasis and cbmm, games are less about having fun and more about sweating you nuts off for 10 minutes.

We don’t leave, because although Crucible is ridiculous, it’s still, unfortunately the best PVP out there. I wish other developers would make an Halo 3 style PVP, so I could quit Destiny forever, but other developers are just, sadly, lamer. Bungie nailed how controls should feel in a FPS game, they’re so good they make us forget the barrier between the player and its gardian. But, for some reasons, they just can’t help but constantly add annoying bullshit like Stasis, Arbalest, Felwinter’s etc, to make sure that 50% of our PVP experience is just us eye rolling at every stupid things killing us. Sad, but I’m at the frontier of just quitting gaming as a whole.

Why would they leave, they get easy wins and farm nobs and poor players, they wanted this, let them ahve it and leave it to them, then it goes back basically to SBMM again, sod em
-
4 RepliesIf all the hardcore people left then who would be there to protect the lighthouse when you pick up a fresh card at Saint 14
-
16 RepliesEgo boost Lack of SBMM and how long broken meta last it's easy for them to feel good about their "skills" playing casuals with broken loading Destiny PvP is a laughingstock in PvP community ....there a reason why d2 failed to appeal as an esport in its begining so they quickly revert back yours cheesy way...and made it worst
-
They left long ago
-
Yea, at least more maps would be something.. And I still don't know why so many were removed.

1 ReplyPeer-to-peer connection for 7 years on a AAA title. "Working as intended".

pvp in this game is embarrassing and the fact bungie has done -blam!- all say's it all

4 RepliesEdited by BraddyBo: 5/22/2021 2:13:56 AMThere is an endless amount of problems this game has but there isnt a single game that combines pvp and pve the way destiny does thats also loot based. Plus i cant stand games with sbmm (overwatch is the exception) because there is no tiered progression so the constant sweaty games with same rewards as the worst player is a double slap in the face. When D2 had sbmm, I knew it would be reversed and I just stayed in freelance until it did. Pvp will eventually get better, I’ll take small breaks until then but I won’t quit.

4 RepliesTbh pvp isnt as bad as people say atm. I do ok with double primary a bunch especially now with gridskipper. Key is stop sweating have fun with new builds
-
50 RepliesAnyone notice how few IB complaint posts there have been on here compared to what it is usually?

All of this is about a chasing a dragon. You think this is going to get better with a small glimpse of hope . But actually it doesn't. That's probably why people stick to it.
-
1 ReplyThe only reason we stay is because there is no other game out there able to do what destiny does. No game has better feeling weapons apart from apex or titan fall 2, no game has a pvp where players can customize their powers, abilities or have the movement that destiny provides. Destiny really is one of a kind and the pvp is addictive. If bungie actually bothered to give players dedicated servers and did a massive sandbox change every few weeks then the pvp would be perfect.

2 RepliesIt's not just the hard-core. Plenty of casuals leave too because of the absolute thrashing they get from the stasis wielding, HC/ shotgun apes. My wife deleted all her characters after we came back to give this game a try. After about 1 1/2 years away from the game, we couldn't believe what we came back too. Just me and my brother left playing now.

One word EGO

tbh i dont really know why i still play, i force myself to do pvp for powerful and pinacle drops to get ready for whatever other pve stuff i would like to do. I back out of matches a lot i dont find the game fun anymore, between stasis abuse, sweaty special/hand cannon spam, and messed up matchmaking algorithm it makes for a deplorable experience, there are even times i would log in stare at the orbit screen for 5 minutes then log out. I just dont find it fun anymore, Im just hanging out for other better stuff to come out i guess? not too many games in recent memory have caught much my attention, im just waiting for halo infinite at this point, i dont know.

25 RepliesHardcore PVPer here. I stay as no other pvp compares. Destiny is unique.

2 RepliesAs a avid pvp player I can say this, many streamers have now ditched destiny for only a day or two of trials, but honestly I think i can say for most pvp mains, is we haven’t left because we spent years getting good as this game, so we play and play through all the garbage maps, nerfs, buffs, and metas hoping for the day out r girlfriend stops hitting us and let’s us have fun again. But before they do that, they need to rework all light classes how they did stasis. They need it cause wow every time I’m not using stasis I just get gaped, because it’s too easy for warlocks and Titans to just freeze and freeze
