So this season is covering a lot of heavy topics relating to race relations and it's gotten a lot of people to voice their opinions on the matter
Some are on the side of the Eliksni, claiming that the Guardians are heartless killers and monsters
Others are on the side of humanity, calling the fallen nothing more than blood thirsty pirates
But what both sides have to realize is that neither of you are free from guilt, and that you can't just loop an entire race together and call them guilty as a whole
"The fallen eat our children and attack our home", yes.. but not house light. House light doesn't decorate their lair in human remains like house devils, house light didn't slaughter the awoken during the wolf rebellion. House Light is it's own entity, they do not represent the Eliksni as a species and every other house in the solar system would be first to tell you that. The only thing house light wants is to live in harmony with humanity and the traveler, you can't blame an entire species for their crimes
"Guardians are just as bloodthirsty and cold as the fallen, they kill families and crush eggs" while I would never excuse the fact that Guardians have apparently slaughtered unborn Eliksni, this "blood lust", as some put it, is well founded. Humanity has been at war with the fallen for over a hundred years (maybe even 200 but the verdict is out on the exact timeline) and as such they've built a culture around this. When the cut throat pirate lords the fallen call Kells came knocking on our door, we responded appropriately. Again, this doesn't justify HATCHLING STOMPING but it does give reason behind everything else
At the end of the day you need to remember two things: 1. House light doesn't represent all Eliksni, and 2. Humanities glorification of fallen murder was spawned in response to the brutality and destruction of the fallen houses
Neither race is innocent, but neither race is purely guilty either
At the end of the day we can all agree that the scorn are superior, praise be to Fikrul

Well all the Fallen in House Light come from other houses. Houses that did terrible things. The issue with them claiming to be victims is that they choose to invade our system and attack us to get the Traveler back. They could of went anywhere. They choose to be invaders. Now that they lost and are being wiped out, they cry about it. Crying about baby fallen being killed? As if they never killed human children? I mean it’s just hypocrisy. House Light is brand new. That some finally admitted they choose poorly and now want to ally with us doesn’t mean they have the right to cry foul about what we did. It isn’t wrong to kill fallen children. We do the same to the Hive. I don’t see anyone saying that’s wrong.

No Lahksmi is right to criticize the Vanguard's decisions. The House of Light isn't done innocent house of victims, many of them (including Mithrax) have admitted to doing some messed up shitz. To act like everyone just needs to get along despite literal centuries of war is outright negligent; to act like humans are wrong for being hateful and afraid of Eliksni despite being invaded, hunted, killed for sport, eaten even, when humans actively sought peace in the beginning is downright insulting. The truth is that Ikora jumped the gun here, she gave the Last City no time to respond to something that should've taken actual debate to figure out. What if the Eliksni were allowed into the city AFTER ending the endless night? After gaining the same good will among regular civilians they've garnered with the Young Wolf? I bet a lot more people would be willing to accept a House they know for sure is friendly, instead of relying on a still-broken, unelected, Vanguard to make all the decisions for them.

1 ReplyI just want to kill the fallen babies crush them under my boot wipe the whole lot of them out if we could do that the season would be decent also kill saint 14 he's a useless fxxk.

9 RepliesSupersky, it's a simple issue which no one has an answer to: Do you trust the Fallen to be mutual partners and not harm anything while they are here? Time will give opportunities. Those opportunities will reveal us to be as dead as the corsairs when House Wolf attacked them or fellow species just trying to get by. Our first duty is the last peoples of humanity.

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
If we want to improve relations we might need to tell spider to stop sending his crews to die in Gambit ,not a good impression when we are still slaughtering them for sport -

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
Well said, a realistic and fair look at the situation Except about the Scorn , Eliksni and Humanity need to work together to destroy that undead filth for good -
5 RepliesWhat I think people need to realise is that the Guardian viewpoint and the Civilian viewpoint are very different. Before the Red War, the Fallen were the only enemy race to attack the City and everyone trying to get to the City had to crawl and fight their way through the Fallen to get there. It's entirely understandable that they'd have a more cutthroat view of the space pirates. On the other hand Guardians know first hand that the Eliksni remain within some Fallen. Eramis had good intentions before the Darkness got into her mind. Mithrax was willing to not only offer up the Methane Reactor (which could have fed god knows how many Hatchlings with the Ether they could've produced) as payment for sparing his life but to actively alert us to the Zero Hour heist and stop it. Variks saved the Awoken from a massacre and has assisted Guardians. Are they perfect? No. But who is? Really looking forward to the future Saint-14 stuff this season, so glad the narrative team have finally begun to actually involved the most logical characters in these seasons. Perfect choice.

Bungie is kinda glossing over the 500 years of constant war. You can't really expect this to be resolved in like 4 weeks.
-
This I agree with. (Except the last bit fikrul can F off)
-
That’s pretty much what some of the weapon lore is pointing at.

3 RepliesI hate how this season I turned from fanatic FWC supporter, to growing a burning hatred for Lakshmi-2... And I was a supporter from beta of D1...
-
1 ReplyI like the idea of them together I just don’t like how bungie keeps making guardians befriend enemy races and also showing us their top command like caityl however I spell it It was fun having mystery like with house of kings from d1 and seeing as bungie don’t rly add any important races story wise it’s abit boring The scorn kinda flopped seeing as they’re only on the tangled shore

As I said in my own post. The eliksni are good, they want to go back to their old ways, live in peace and fight FOR the traveler regardless of who it picked. The fallen are the eliksni who have gone to far from what they once were and won't go back. They are pirates. They are raiders. They are murderers. They want humanity wiped out. They are the bad ones. I have absolutely 0 remorse killing fallen.

"you can't just loop an entire race together and call them guilty as a whole" This is exactly it tho. This is why I am really liking this story at the moment, it adds nuance to the eliksni and human relationship. It is realistic to think that people would judge all fallen by the god awful acts of some and the same for humanity to eliksni. Think about the way certain groups react when you say you are a trump supporter or a bidden supporter, a lot of people will lump you in with a preconceived idea of what that means and not take you by your own actions and beliefs. Same thing goes for fallen and humans. We both have been killing eachother for so long that we lost sense of reality towards it. It became "fallen bad" instead of "this specific issue" and that lead to humanity devaluing the eliksni as a people. We now have to come back to reality and accept that the fallen are a real people with individual cultures and not just a big army trying to kill us. It is reasonable to expect that some people will not want to see the fallen as more than an army and they are kinda justified in doing that. This is a complex moral question and I really like the nuance of it. Both people have done awful things to each other, are we both willing to put those 100+ years aside and form a more productive relationship. There is good reason to not trust them, they have good reason to not trust us but we both have good reasons to trust each other.

2 RepliesScrew new monarchy and saint-14. They are LITERALLY going to destroy the infrastructure of the city with their disgust of the fallen. Saint can’t even keep trials populated enough to give lower ranked players a reason to play. I wouldn’t mind giving a final death to both saint and Lakshmi if they dare try to get their hands dirty in this conflict. Both those -blam!- won’t dare touch house light as long as I am freaking alive.

Edited by klasik_klutz: 5/21/2021 10:56:23 PMthis is kinda the point drifter says in the borrowed time, which was very interesting considering we know that he had eaten fallen. i'm glad to see that drifter is on the side of houses light.
I have no gender only RAGE.
Edited by OsloObliterator: 5/21/2021 10:09:13 PMEliksni and people would go together nicely Probably because of their name: Eliksni

3 RepliesImagine we start hearing Humans and Eliksni having romantic relationships. Imagine if Drifter’s girlfriend ends up being Female Eliksni
-
At the end of the day I only bow to one Eliskni 😁
-
31 RepliesThe fallen started a war of extinction unprovoked, they are 100% in the wrong, at that point humanity is justified in whatever actions they take to fight back.
-
2 Replies
Some are on the side of the Eliksni, claiming that the Guardians are heartless killers and monsters
Humans that are on the side of the Eliksni are traitors to humanity. After all what they did to us. Let me quote Saint-14 in Override: Pfah!
-
3 RepliesIs it me or does your analysis of the Human-Fallen conflict and how it affects House Light has Attack on Titan vibes on it?
-
Praise Fikrul.
-
Eliksni attacked without warning, committing wanton atrocities, not even trying to talk it out . Even House Light exist only because GUARDIAN gave Mithrax mercy. And now they have audacity to give us crap when they themselves act(ed) in contrary what they say Traveler stand for. Sorry for bad english.
At the end of the day we can all agree that the scorn are superior, praise be to Fikrul
And there it is folks the scorn tie in. I generally agree on this if youve watched the leaked cutscene titled
The monster it talks about this.
