Bungie stop requiring x# of kills with any weapon in multi-player.
I hate crucible plain and simple gambit ok but I'm a pve player and I like using certain weapons and their catalyst but happened to the option of getting this stuff without doing pvp? Doing 200+ crucible or iron banner matches with a weapon I know I'm not good in pvp makes me want to quit playing. Have me kill 50 overshield enemies instead as an option. Have weapon receive a skin pattern with the catalyst completion not color so that people can see HOW it was earned. That way you can still sell the different looks

2 RepliesAre you talking about the Iron Banner quest? You mean the quest for a PvP ONLY game mode? That makes sense and should only be completed through playing an event PvP game mode? Because you just talk about a quest, but not really any particular one, but due to the timing, I assume it is the Iron Banner one. It's optional. Get over it. Play it or don't. Can't cater the game to everyone, you can't have everything. That's life. Otherwise I would still have SBMM. Instead I have people on my teams who seemingly can't even sprint or half decently read their radar. I can't have everything either. I just live with it.

13 RepliesLook at all the pvp trolls this post brought out. People wonder why pvp is a toxic garbage dump now days. I have friends who cannot complete content in this game because how bad the MM is. How every game people run trials loadouts because they don't know how to relax their loadouts or have fun. Really proving the point that pvp is just troll space now.

4 RepliesAs someone who is 20 games into trying to get 10 Sniper kills, I agree. But only because between me being dogcrap with snipers and IB matches being so poorly matchmade that every game is a Mercy... I might get 1 snipe every 3 games.

Ngl i love pvp but these quest make it essentially a throw alot of the matches for the people on my team or the other that are trying to get those quests done. Ive always hated that mentality of forcing us to play a certain way. It makes people hate this game even more and creates an overall frustrating environment in pvp stasis aside.

Bungie really just needs to offer more choices regarding Quests and Catalysts. If they want to [i]encourage[/i] PvP engagement, simply offer bonus points for Crucible kills, but still give the option to complete quests in Gambit or Nightfalls.

I second this. I hate doing pve things. I should just be able to cry hard enough that I can get any weapon I want from a kiosk without having to play and do anything 😤😤😤

so you really don't see the irony here? you hate pvp, want the rewards from IB...... then it would seem you want these crucible rewards in pve? how about people know how it was earned when everyone has the same steps to complete?

6 Replies200+ matches? Bud, its like 10 kills with 3 or 4 different weapons. Its not bad at all. I too am bad at pvp. Like, reeeealy bad. My kd is negative lol. And this quest is no problem for me to complete. If i can do, i know you can because nobodys as bad as me.

Iron banner bounty kills is a cake, maybe even if it takes time and I lose my kd - as a horny teenager his/her virginity in the bed - , I can do them, even though I don't like the machine gun kills at the last step because it is so limited ammo-wise.

Nobody is forcing you into crucible. You’re doing an iron banner quest so expect crucible related things. If you can’t use something required for a quest, maybe you should learn new guns and stop using the same old crutch or meta?

my biggest complain is how the quest is made, kill ppl with shotguns, sure.........kill ppl with any heavy you want, sure..........kill ppl using melee (im a hunter) .....I guess......, killing people usin snipers when the game keeps putting you on either Calderon or Anormally ......plz kill me

If you're trying to do the Iron Banner quest, don't complain when it asks you to play Iron Banner. You knew what you were getting yourself into.

I have to ask, what weapon(s) are you referring to? Weapons whose Catalysts require Crucible kills are typically guns that are better in Crucible than in PvE, such as Vigilance Wing and MIDA. These Catalysts also tend to drop from Crucible matches, too. The weapons that these posts are typically about nowadays are the seasonal Exotic and their associated Catalyst quests. That way you can still sell the different looks[/quote] I don't really understand what you mean here, because there aren't any guns with Catalysts that also have ornaments tied to playlists. If this is indeed about the seasonal Exotics and their quests, then no one actually "earned" the weapon through any means, we all get it just by existing in the season. I dislike Crucible as much as the next guy, but if a weapon isn't tied to any one source, then it's fair game for upgrades for it to involve any core playlist.
