As a Titan, EzPz. Warlock, cool. Hunter, get shotgunned lad.
Still can’t believe things like this don’t get thought through, 7 years later.

Here's a quote from a movie. "If I can learn to do it, you can learn to do it" -Anastasia (from the animated movie) Its not so bad though. Just get very aggressive. I used mask of bakris. It really helped secure those melee kills. I used the feeze fragment when dodging too. Yes I know its lame using stasis but so is this quest.
-
I was literally already done with melee kills when i got to that step. Just body shot with chappy + melee = ez melee kill.
-
Use middle tree void or solar super. Get 2-3 kills a game if you get your super once per game. Easy

1 ReplyEdited by Hunter-Max99: 5/19/2021 3:13:34 PMSo ability kills doesn’t count?
-
3 RepliesAre you unable to shotgun melee people?
-
5 RepliesTop tree arc. Bottom tree arc. Bakris to close distance on stasis. Not that bad.
-
If you can't warp with Bakris to help secure melee kills, that's on you. Hell, even Stompies still work. Slide around at mach 5 and follow up with a melee kill after a shotgun hit.
-
I just wish ranged melee abilities counted. Throwing knives and celestial fire didn’t count for progression, it made warlock and hunter a pain in the ass to do
-
1 ReplyBakris exist. And we JUST got a new grenade aspect that helps. I think it’s just a you thing...
-
Just do what I did, run a slug shotgun, land a body and follow it up with a melee. It was extremely easy if you run it with chaperone since the range is pretty far and hunters have enough stuff in their kit to easily close the gap on players.

Bottom Arcstrider with liars hand shake and a shotgun.

Edited by DiZ: 5/20/2021 8:19:27 PMWhat I've gathered from this thread is that melee ability kills, or at the very least, melees that don't use a class's standard melee animation or fire a projectile(i.e. Withering Blade, Shoulder Charge, Celestial Fire, etc.), aren't being counted when they should. Well, if only(and hopefully) the latter is true, then I'd recommend to use top tree Arcstrider with Gambler's Dodge and either an SMG/Sidearm or a non-Aggressive Frame Shotgun to get people very low and finish them off with the long melee lunge from Deadly Reach after dodging. I'd also recommend either Dragon's Shadow or Stomp-335 to assist, though apparently Assassin's Cowl isn't bad either. Big tip:
When point-blank, if need be, just spam your double jump and melee up-close as a Hunter, and you'll come out on top more often than you'd think. It looks really laggy on your opponent's screen and can be hard to track and counter for most players.
Arc, roll punch. Use a lightweight frame shotty and then finish them with melee. It aint bad at all
-
2 RepliesShurikens and knives count as melee no?
-
5 RepliesThere was a melee kill step? Already had that shit done then.. it seriously isn’t that hard
-
11 Replies15 melee kills with that crappy no damage melees are not fun. Give the power of d1 melees back if you want us to that kinda crap. The queststep alone is so time consuming that I decided to skip IB.

3 RepliesI feel ya as a warlock. I'm often out meleed by Titans and Hunters. Sure we have the range but we definitely need a follow up!
