Invisible character
Is anyone else experiencing invisible weapons / characters? It’s super annoying and makes the game unplayable, anyone know the reason for it or what I can do?

1 ReplyIssue is worse now with light fall commendation loading screen. I’m on PS4 and thought this was because I’m on old hardware but see this is also impacting ps5 players. Super annoying. I refuse to buy any future season pass or releases of destiny if this isn’t resolved this season.

1 ReplySept '22 I still experience this on a daily basis, restarting my PS5 doesn't fix it anymore. - I will try resetting my cache, but I don't see that being an issue. - Reinstalling the game DID fix it for a few months, but that's a painstakingly cumbersome bandaid solution. *I second that this needs to be acknowledged at least, crucible is impossible, raids are way more annoying, and everything else is just a lesser experience altogether.

Been happening to me for a few months on PS4. Never had an issue before. Absolutely ruins the game. Hopefully now Sony own you something will be done! Have played since year 2 and spent hundreds of pounds on DLC like most people and I find this totally unacceptable. You fix weapons and exotics no one even remembers, yet you can't/won't fix an issue that makes the game unplayable for lots of people. Absolutely sick of it now.

Been happening to me for over a year now. On both ps4 and ps5. Spending hundreds of dollars on this game over the years. This is NOT acceptable for a serious issue like this to have not been fixed already. Makes game unplayable.

June 2022. I cleared my Cache in safemode on PS5, it resolves the issue a while.

May 2022 Happens to me constantly. Started with VOG launch. Clearing the System Cache has been the only thing I can find to temporarily fix it. But seems like I need to do it EVERY DAY lately.

Playing PVP which I don't usually do is quite testing when you cannot see your target either physically or with the targeting hud of your weapon. Headshots for PVE bit tricky too, this has been a pretty solid issue for a little time now. Any Help? Bungie? Been playing since the original release and this was an issue last year for a time, thought it was fixed! Initially thought it was my connection and the game was trying to 'not kick me' by reducing content however connection speed is fine so at a loss.

It happened to me every now and again on Xbox before season of the witch. Since the drop it’s absolutely constant. Even in public places like the helm. Running Xbox series x hard wired to network on a 400MB connection.

All these months on from first reporting it and it’s still happening!!! What are doing about Bungie? Come on it’s been long enough and nothing is being done. Absolutely unplayable in PVP.

I don't know a proper fix to this but I learned that if I die and I respawn it doesn't happen to my character anymore. Unfortunately, all the other players will still be invisible.

1 ReplyThis has been happening to me on PS5 for months. Incredibly frustrating and Bungie needs to find a fix. I have restarted the game, deleted and reloaded the game, reset routers, etc…still no solution. Has anyone found a work around?

Feb 7 2021 it's only just started happening to me over last 4 days. I'm in Xbox Series X. It really does make the game unplayable, especially if using snipers and heavy weapons. Only Gambit seems free of it for me so far.

December 12th and still happening. It stopped for a few weeks but then with the Anniversary update it’s been almost constant. Only way I’ve been able to get my guns to load is to kill myself. Character still doesn’t load but guns and sights are most important.

I am on an xbox series X and this just started happening as well. One way I have found to fix it quickly while in game is changing weapons and that will bring it back. Kind of an inconvenience when you're doing a raid or any activity. Bungie please acknowledge and provide a fix.

Mid november and still no fixes. Since last patch came out it’s even more frequent. Even stranger, i’ve been playing on two different ps4 on two different connections with my account and i still get invisible character almost every day. It’s almost umplayable at this point

Same issues here as of 31st October 2021. Both in PVE and even more annoyingly PVP. Has started for me since the latest patch was introduced. XSX player.

Here it is the end of October and apparently this is still going on. Mine just started doing this after this recent patch and like everyone is saying it's super annoying, especially not being able to see the reticle and other players in PvP. It seems to get worse the more people I load in with. Reinstalled the game and reset my router with no change. Still no fixes? Guess it's time to play something else for a while.
