I cannot stand this stupid BS of feeling like I’m at a huge disadvantage playing as a warlock in pvp. I literally always get 2nd melee off 1st but .5s later the game tells me I traded. This shit is beyond frustrating and honestly turns me away playing warlock in pvp.

1 ReplyIt feels like I’ve been hitting to slow an the other person hits faster than me even before i land the final hit don’t know if it’s their resilience or what but it sucks.

8 RepliesThis happens to all classes not just warlocks. It's because of the peer to peer latency and shitty hit registration
-
See, this is why Flame Shield was a thing in D1, but people weren't ready for that conversation
-
Same reason a 140 hand cannon will trade with a 120 every time, even when they start shooting other at the same time. P2p latency is so bad the game can’t referee anything below .1 seconds and just says: “meh...to close to call...trade”.
-
This happens to Hunters, Titans and Warlocks - has been a thing since D1.
-
you will immediately stop playing if all the time the first to do the meele win the fight.

Warlocks have an added meter or so of range on there melees but thats traded off with it being slower Dont try to get into s fist fight but instead use it as a clean up kill option (Also noticed that with the added range you aren’t likely to lunge but it still has an active hitbox)

6 RepliesBecause warlocks have dlower melees, but their melees hit the furthest out.

Unless the opponent reacts late, most of the time it ends in a trade. Mainly because of the how Bungie’s servers are. That’s why using your melee as a finisher is much better. You can’t get screwed in that case since the issue is the slower melee recovery on Warlock, not the melee speed it self.

he could be melee canceling which is common pvp practice.

2 RepliesIt's not just warlocks that crap happens to all of us fairly regularly. It's not just melee either, I've sniped guys and watched their head knocked back and after that a muzzle flash from their weapon but somehow I die and they live. It's just lag and sometimes crappy hit registration.

3 Repliesbut then u would be crying that ur melee doesnt have enough range wahlocks gona wah
