So at the risk of been mutilated by all trials players....
Grandmaster Nightfall is top end PvE and has equipment locked, but high end PvP is loose and free to swop to choas legs/cancel etc.
Why isn't Trials the same and equipment locked (start to finish or per round).
???
PvE upvote, PvP swing on by.... ;-)

PvP mains cry about enough things, they don't need another to add to the pile 😂

23 RepliesEdited by ΞsnΛχΞ: 5/15/2021 6:03:49 PMBecause they’re a bunch of entitled crybabies. What about the RNG in GM NFs? Sometimes you will get nothing. Imagine that for their flawless chest. I would celebrate the day they fvck them as hard as the PvE players in this game.

That's a good point it should be locked
-
6 RepliesBecause pvp streamer cries too much and Bungo gotta please him

Don't know about PC players, but I'm on an XboxOne....and by the time I can switch weapons...I'm dead. Load times suck a$$
-
Give me a trials reward I can jump for, and I'll fling myself off over the edge all day long

Because PVE is easier and requires artifical difficulty to make it difficult. I can say the same for Raids. Raids in D2 are so easy compared to D1 that they require so many more “mechanics” to artificially make them hard.
-
11 RepliesBecause you need to be able to adapt to what the other team is doing. If you locked loadouts you’d imposed even less build diversity on a game mode that already has little of it.
-
Honest opinion: Locked loadouts are dumb and shouldn't be a thing. They already restrict your playstyle by making only certain weapons have champion mods and then they restrict it even further by locking you out of your mods, subclass and weapons. If you truly want to argue skill in pvp, locked or curated loadouts would help but they'll never do that. (Or maybe they will? Bungie usually likes to do things that dump on the Playerbase)

1 ReplyI only just checked because i wasn't thinking about it, but your pvp stats are SUPER fishy. Like, reallllllly fishy.
-
1 ReplyI wouldn't mind locked armor, but not weapons. Locked armor may prevent people from switching from say mantle of battle harmony to geomags mid match if that's a current problem idk. But never weapons. Players need to adapt mid match. Similar to apex legends new arena. Once you pick your character your locked with that character but u can pick different weapons after each round.
-
2 RepliesA GM is the same every time you play, Trials you get different opponents every match. GM you don’t need to change how you prepare, Trials you do. That simple. Also, why aren’t you asking about locking loadouts in raids too?
-
4 RepliesIm a 100% pve focused player. I suck at pvp. Badly. But this is a silly take. You're comparing A.i to actual adaptable intelligence. Our loadouts might get locked. But ai is predictable. We can set a loadout based on that predictability. Pvp is based on player vs player strategy. They need the ability to switch weapons to adapt to their opponents palystyle on the fly. And vice versa.
-
Well GMs have set AI and set enemies. Trials requires you to be more dynamic in order to succeed. Changing your loadout around may be necessary for that. Not necessarily an apples-and-apples comparison man. On top of that, the moment you lock loadouts the meta will become even more prevalent in Trials.
-
Without ammo synthesis, what's the point in locking the gear?? the toll of losing ammo clearly does not outweigh the benefit of changing weapons with 0 ammo.
-
8 RepliesPretty simple. So players can adapt and change up what will work for them against who they are playing. Common sense.
-
I HATE Locked Loadouts.

The dynamics aren't even remotely close and only novice would try to compare pve which at the end of the day is just math and patience versus pvp which I can't even sum up in this response. Not comparable.

2 RepliesBecause being able to swap your build to adapt to the enemy teams playstyle is a huge part of pvp. Imagine going in with a sniper just to learn that their whole team is using vigilance wing, and you cant even land a single shot because you keep getting flinched to high hell and you cant swap to a more suitable load out to even stand a chance. Wouldnt be fun.
-
Been there, done that No thanks.
-
4 RepliesLoL I get what you're saying but they tried that already and it was awful. Everyone just used the meta loadout and there was even less diversity than now. Besides, I don't think locking loadouts is going to improve anyone's chances lol.
-
4 RepliesYou know exactly what enemies you're going to find in a GM, so you can plan your loadout accordingly. Going into trials you don't know what the other team is using. Locking loadouts would just be annoying.
-
The same goes to points. If is a competitive environment points should go to glory not valor
-
You know exactly what is coming in a GM nightfall. There is no way to anticipate the opponent’s load out in trials.
-
It used to be this way I liked it too

1 ReplyI feel like this idea is worth a try honestly
