So after getting these boots... and playing with them a LOT... I wanna put my two cents in as someone who mains Well and Lumina.
So first things first, you do not need to use this on Well, but it pairs with Well just like Lumina's Noble Rounds do. So you'll get the benefit of Blessing of the Sky giving you back your ability energy.
So every time I popped my Well in Override... I spawned 3 Noble Rounds that would aggressively track my targets.
Problem I had... I was playing with randoms so I couldn't ask how much healing my Healing rift was doing... but both my healing and empowering rift did one key thing: As soon as a round went and touched an ally... it paused the rift timer. And if you're near a lot of teammates... you can have an infinite rift. Constantly popping out healing or damage orbs.
The damage is on par with Noble Rounds from my tests, which is a 20ish% damage buff. And that is just... well everyone can now more easily kill ads and champions, no one's gonna say no to a 20% buff that they don't have to work for in your team.
And also... I noticed, when my allies killed targets while under the effects of my exotic- enemies were dropping actual Noble Rounds... and my Lumina was picking them up.
Yes. You read that correctly... just like Thorn with Necrotic Grip, Lumina and Boots of the Assembler also combo off one another.
Something to take note of, yes this exotic works slightly when you use Well of Radiance. It won't slow the timer on your Well, but you'll still be popping out Rounds to those outside of the Well based on your Rift ability.
And like I said, these rounds are aggressive and track far. It also functions in PvP...
These boots... will never leave my legs. I am in love with this exotic.
EDIT: Further testing, it doesn't have to be your own Rift- it can be an allies rift as well and the effects will still activate.
Also, if you teammate or friendly is in your Rift, or standing in another rift... the rounds will not track onto them. It will just sputter out and do nothing.

Edited by AdligerAdler: 5/15/2021 5:55:21 PMIt's cool if you want to support your teammates or have long rifts. I used it yesterday in Overwrite. Looks cool, sounds cool, rift available most of the time. But you have to be in it. And it's useless solo. And barely anyone wants to be a nurse and use Lumina to shoot those noble rounds at teammates. Lame-o.

9 RepliesI thought they were going to be bad or were Warlocks freaking out for no reason? Hmmm...... Me wonder.
-
1 ReplyOk did I slip into an alternate Earth or did Bungie change these boots at the last minute??
-
6 RepliesYeah this exotic just made sanguine alchemy an already subpar exotic basically pointless. Bungie we really need you guys to look at and rework warlock exotics to give some sort of value.
-
3 RepliesI mean it’s the only exotic I can run with stasis
-
3 RepliesSo its a bit like a reverse Necrotic Grip?
-
-
7 RepliesBe nice if I could get them. Out of around 25 runs of the lost sector I got lunifaction boots and then 15 of them or so I got ONLY glitter and the rest I got cores. Beyond stupid is the new name of the expansion.

Edited by PrincyMincy2805: 5/15/2021 4:45:09 PMLook, if i choose to run support role, then there needs to be a reward in xp/bounty progress for assisting the teammates via buffs. I can tell you nursing a rift to keep buffs up has many drawbacks... ammo runs out, minimal bounty/quest progress, no xp, no orbs, grabbing motes for triumphs.... This is not a complaint, but they need to put some gravy on the top of this dish they are serving to warlocks...

11 RepliesEdited by Yu7Zi: 5/14/2021 2:05:28 PMJust a shame it does nothing for the player using it besides extending their rift. It’s a babysitting exotic.

Can't go for them yet too weak.
-
5 RepliesI couldn’t figure out how it worked, tbh. This helped a little, but it didn’t feel like anything happened when using them.
-
first necrotic grip now these boots two exoitcs that pair with two exotic weapons honestly thats amazing lets hope we get more like this in the future
-
13 RepliesI wish I could get them, 60 runs no boots
-
You can also start one rift, have it up long enough to have another rift ready, run to a different location and pop it and stand in the second rift, you will keep both up and running by standing in just the second rift.

Its the perfect and ultimate support exotic especially when paired with well. I just hope we don’t get yet another rift exotic next season, like enough with this support BS. I chose to play warlock on D1 because of how destructive the supposed MAGE class seemed with nova bomb. I chose to play warlock because I love the chaos. Titans perfectly fit the tank class and hunters easily fit the scout class, warlocks are supposed to be the most ability and chaotic class but somehow we ended up on support with like 8 rift exotics. Its ridiculous we ever rarely ever get chaotic and lethal exotics like titans currently got this season.
-
We will enjoy it for a week then complaints from random ass people will get it nerfed. Bungie is notorious for this shit especially on warlock exotics.

1 ReplyEdited by JM-TheChosen1: 5/14/2021 3:23:21 PMWait so all this does is make your Rift Portable because its orbs now?
-
What i like about the Exotic Warlock have is i don’t have to be a slave with one Subclass to have a usage with Squad since it’s Rift based outside of Well.
-
12 RepliesAh yes, yet another new warlock exotic/ability that stereotypical warlock mains whined about before they saw it in action. And now they've all slowly gone back in the shadows as they've jumped the gun yet again on drawing conclusions on something simply so they can say they got shafted again. See you all again next season when it inevitably happens again because you never learn and just want to cry about everything because blah blah blah bungie wha wha wha warlocks bad blah blah. *Note*this is not aimed at the entire warlock main community. Just the extremely vocal, incredibly annoying warlock mains that always have something to say on these forums. You're just as bad as the stereotypical whiney, nerf/buff seeking hunters of the same nature on these forums that make me not want to main hunter anymore.

1 ReplyDid you test with with the arc souls subclass to see if the rounds from teh rifts will give arc souls? That is my curiosity i know it works with well warlock and lumina greatly. if an empowered rift and a healing rift overlap from another warlock you can stand in them and pause both as well.
-
How poetic that both of the Synergy Exotics have to do with both types of Thorn: Necrotic Grips with Thorn, and Boots of the Assembler for Thorn's light version
-
I just hope bungie doesn’t try to “ fix “ it, especially as necrotic grips might be a casualty
-
2 RepliesEdited by GANDALF: 5/14/2021 5:50:55 PMYup, I’m never taking these off! Also, try them on Bottom Tree Stormcaller, you can make mega rifts with infinite arc buddies for you and your allies for unnecessary amounts of fun 😂 Edit: It also looks to me like it increases the radius of your rift? Maybe it’s in my head, but my rifts look bigger when I’m wearing the boots 🤷🏻♂️
-
3 RepliesAnother fun fact, you can create multiple rifts. As long as you stand in all of them, you can have a mega rift!💪🏼

The healing is about 40% immediate + begins health regen
