Please tell me the Path of The Burning Steps exotic is bugged,

There's no way it's that overpowered, you don't even need to have a solar subclass with it, all you need is an Igneous and after that your landing consistent 2 taps. Please tell me this isn't working as intended. While having exotics to counter stasis is fine, there's no way this exotic is in any way balanced, this counters everything and will be the forever new Meta of the season. The damage buff shouldn't work in PvP, same as Bakris's damage perk. These should be PvE exclusive. Edit- Let me break it down, -being able to counter stasis, while simultaneously using stasis is unbalanced. - the fact that it takes even more work to down a Behemoth wearing these is ridiculous, as they're even more tanky, on top of being able to utilize the damage perk in PvP, -Essentially adding a free rampage to any solar weapon, (looking at you Igneous) and making it 10× easier to proc then rampage as all you have to do is get slowed for the extra damage to kick in, with it barely effecting you as the reduced effects of stasis helps it. -You Essentially don't have to do anything, or alter your playstyle you simply just get a bunch of passive bonuses for playing normally as getting hit with stasis is already inevitable, this damage buff will be active alot longer then any rampage perk ever could. Like the Mask of Bakris not having the elemental damage perk active in PvP, this has to be the same with Path of the burning steps, also making it so the reduced stasis damage should only apply to non stasis subclasses

Meanwhile Geo-mags gives you 4 supers a game if you get 20 kills and have 60+ intellect.

        • It’s not overpowered - from using it in trials and quick play, it ‘works as intended’ as a strong counter to stasis. I’ll explain why… You get effected by someone who is using one of the most BROKEN subclasses in the game (regardless of what character it is, they are all BROKEN) you now have 10 seconds of bonus damage to fight back after already having been either frozen or slowed, during that 10 seconds you’ll either have to break out - reducing it down to around 6 seconds - or react while slowed. Either way you are loosing out on chance for a fair gunfight due to how stasis works. It also triggers from getting a double kill, witch is 1 kill more then what it takes for rampage to proc. Warlocks can just put down a empowering rift whenever they have one and it’s free 2 taps with ANY 120, not just IH. The bonus damage only works with solar weapons also. So yeah igneous hammer will two tap, but it will also 2 tap due to Hedrons fragment (yay more stasis), rampage, charged with light, Well and empowering rift. As far as it being overpowered with the perk, it truly isn’t as you have to either be effected by stasis or get kills for it to work. If someone is stasis spamming you - they deserve to be 2 tapped (I hate stasis in PvP lol but I love it in PvE) On the other point of what you are saying…. Yes it 100000% should work with light subclasses only! When I play Titan I generally use Thundercrash or Bottom tree hammers but as it’s all designed around solar being the counter to stasis I would be completely in agreement with them only working on a solar subclass. Using anti stasis exotic whilst still using a stasis subclass just makes absolutely no sense to me!

          • Just so you're aware it takes 2-3 kills to proc the effect. https://youtu.be/HYTw6i0oetw Time stamp 4:54. Or in description.

It's buffs: 1. Slow stacks are halved. 2. Slow duration is halved. 3. Freeze duration is halved. 4. Breaking out of freeze creates a solar AoE, doing 105 damage at one stack and killing a guardian outright at 4. This can be used pretty offensively as well: https://youtu.be/qLHkPrCuROs 5. Getting two solar kills in quick succession gives rampage. This can stack with other buffs. 6. Getting slowed or frozen gives rampage. This can stack with other buffs, and happens very, very frequently. That is insane. But, my only problem is it punishes an opponent for getting the drop on the user. Yeah, stasis is OP, but no exotic in the game should punish someone for getting the drop on another player. That goes for all classes. And if I went by that logic for other exotics in the past that had that issue, I can't pick and choose just because one counters one of the most frustrating metas we've ever had. But, yeah. No reason they shouldn't require a solar subclass at the very least. With one exotic Behemoth just went from at most on par with Revanent to literally dumping on it. Worst part is I'd be okay with a Titan meta if it wasn't stasis. I hate stasis.

              • TBH I'd be quite happy to firstly only lock it to light based subsclasses before disabling Firewalker in PvP. All Stasis Subclasses can get a damage buff by freezing an opponent (no kill required) with Whisper of Hedrons. Bakris have the Arc weapon buff disabled in PvP makes sense because Revenant hunter is already the strongest hunter PvP class. It has access to the Hedrons. If Path of the Burning Steps only worked on light subsclasses it would encourage more players to pick a light subclass. And give them access to a Hedrons like damage buff (without having to get a kill). Simultaneously it would punish stasis ability spamming. If later on it turned out that Firewalker was too powerful in PvP, they could simply disable it. Quite frankly that probably wouldn't be required for some time. Nothing will come as close to being as powerful as Stasis in PvP. It gives overshields, tracking freezes, damage buffs without kills all whilst also buff players stats passively. It's nuts. Every light class (hunters and warlocks) should have an exotic that protects against Stasis spam (that only works on the light subsclasses)

                • I feel like the boots should only counter stasis while using a solar subclass, otherwise you may as well just use stasis anyway.

                • If theres no stasis its just gloryfied rampage that only procs every 2-3kills nothing to write home about. So just stop crutching on stasis.

                  • I think it just needs to be taken off the behemoth subclass. Other than that it’s fine, the buff is 3-4 seconds on firewalk and overload rounds.

                  • It's pretty strong, but I think there's a small bug. The damage buff is inconsistent and sometimes is too high or low at some points of it

                  • Let’s let some time pass before we call them overpowered.
