Please, make "Traction" an option we can toogle on/off and not a mod. Many "controller players" will appreciate that.

Traction is a noticeable movement perk for controller players, that facilitate movement a lot. Plus, it takes a slot on leg armor. I think it should be a movement option in Settings Menu, as some players (mostly Pc M/kb players) prefer not using it (or don't need it at all). Also, at least IMO, it would help to even the movement between console and pc players in the upcoming crossplay feature. Thanks

  • Asking Bungie to do something that makes all sorts of sense? Never gonna happen. They're too busy spending all their time making Baby Fallen Plushies, and having satanic rituals in the name of their False Prophet

    • Agreed. It’s a disadvantage for controller players. I played on pc with controller for a long time until I got comfortable with mkb. The mod slot is a cost and effects players with lower sensitivity.

    • Just remove the mod... and let us select sensitivity 135 or something high. Semsitivity 10 is a joke

    • I recently managed to get myself a Series X and played a bit of D2 on 120fps--I can't really tell if throwing on traction does anything (poor eyesight and even with contacts on, sometimes fps/graphics quality just goes over my head) when you throw it on or take it off. Is there a need for Traction on next gen?

      • Traction and fast ball are by far the most must have perks if console players are to face pc players. I play on pc with controller and my K.D wouldn’t be this good if it wasn’t for these 2 mods. Seriously why do we need mods for quality of life changes? Traction and fast ball should be intrinsic for anyone using a controller. Without traction, you are at a massive disadvantage on pc and I really mean massive. Its so bad to play without traction vs pc players that are able to 180 slide to cover and shoot all at the same time.

      • They could give us more sensitivity options and it would be the same.

          • Bump this thread, it should be a thing by now. After using traction for so long it feels terrible to play without it

          • Yo I saw a M&K player slide sideways and backwards. As a console player I cannot compete with that.

          • BUMP Yes, especially since it's been a zero-cost mod for a while, it should be intrinsic. Also as someone mentioned give some attention to consoles (can't do what M&K does). Thanks!

          • I can not come up with one scenario where I would not want this perk. It should be on all the time and intrinsic to all boots.

          • It would be nice if our armor rolled with certain perks like this. Maybe each piece could roll inherently with a low level perk. Some could roll with handcannon loader, let's say, some traction or ammo finders or whatever. It would definitely make the item hunt a little more exciting.

          • Better idea just take the movement set from Stomp EE5, Lion Ramparts, and Transversive Steps and add them to each class without equipping. Its BS having to run boots to make the game funner and faster. Its even bigger BS that we can't equip multiple exotics considering we earned them.

              • Crossplay will be Xbox/playstation only and for matching PC players you'll have to join a PC player and you'll only play against PC. Also why everyone want traction ? Im doing fine without it.

I can’t even play this game without traction so I am forced to give a up a mod spot....::::: dumb.

                • Yes, it's great that it doesnt cost any mod points...but it still takes up a slot for mods. It feels like the insta-summon sparrow deal...we should just have that tight turn radius all the time.

                • Yes. Or just love it to the combat mod slot even, so it doesn’t take up a perk.
