Hi,
I’ve heard about this idea being kicked around once or twice but it seems like it’s never coming. I know this isn’t the most important thing in the game, but I for one could use and update to my Guardian’s appearance.
The idea I had would be taking a page out of the playbook of the last couple Monster Hunter games. They have ‘character creation vouchers’ which let you edit you character completely while keeping all of the progress of that character. Perhaps this could work for Destiny too.
Eyes up, guardians. Thanks!

Only if you grind for hours or pay real money

Since d2 came out my hunter has changed colors like 5 times, from all black, to black and white, to a carbon fiber weave, now back to black and white. Honestly I just want my OG exo look back.
-
The switch to D2 turned my hunter’s face into a melted candle. I can’t bear to see it with its helmet off. Just one chance to fix it is all i want.

I read the title as edible, mmmm guardians. Drool.

4 RepliesEasy. First, you collect Facial Reconstruction Cord from killing enemies. Once you have enough Facial Reconstruction Cord, you exchange them with Eva Levante for one bounty, called the Facelift Focus, which, once completed, will reward a single Cosmetic Surgery Voucher. Turn in the Cosmetic Surgery Voucher with Xur for a Transmaterial Token, which must be grinded out by the next Time Xur visits for a Consciousness Transfer Coin. The Consciousness Transfer Coin is then gifted to Riven of a Thousand Voices, who will then allow you to change your appearance/race/class once per year for an additional 130,000 Silver.

Yet another area where World of Warcraft does something better than Destiny 2. As much as Shadowlands is picked on, it did allow total customization of characters, allowing changes like skin color, eye color, hair styles, tattoos/body paint, piercings etc.

Thanks!
It won't be in the game until Bungie can make a new npc to put next to Tess and charge $10 a pop to do it. Oh man did I just say bungie will make a "NEW" npc? more like a copy of Tess in different colours with maybe a cloth wrapped around her shoulders and call her Bess or something like that.

1 ReplyMaybe people should learn how to commit to the decisions they make instead of being a waffle

1 ReplyIt’s indeed been discussed, but I have a feeling (based off experience being a software engineer — only mentioning due to relevance) that their system and/or legacy code would make this a very lengthy task to implement. For all we know, the database to which new characters and their appearances are saved is immutable, AKA locked in forever once created. Getting around that would require a ton of work (I’m happy to elaborate if interested). And that’s just one possible scenario. I’d love for this to be implemented and truly hope Bungie has a gameplan to do so by some point.

1 ReplyBut knowing Bungie the vouchers would be either 9 million strikes or 5 million crucible games or Eververse for 20 quid
-
3 RepliesYeah I chose the colors for my Exo hunter a long time ago, and only now do I realize the colors are horrendous.

This will be like transmog if bungie ever implements it. Want to change your hairstyle? Go to a vendor and pay them follicle samples in order to buy a bounty that requires you to do 20 strikes. the bounty rewards you with 1 celestial locks, but 10 will be needed for the barber to cut/change your hairstyle one time. want to change your face paint? you guessed it more grinding for currencies to get bounties that make you grind for more currencies. want to change your gender? see you after a year of grinding currencies.

After Beyond Light, my "masculine" Hunter's skin color does not fit the facial structure, and seeing him is an eye-sore every time I switch from my particularly good-looking Warlock. It would be great if I could change my Guardians' body type as well.

3 RepliesIt will cost; your 1st child, 3 fingers, 1 kidney, 1 lung, and a valve from your heart, plus 7,000 silver.

YES PLEASE THIS AYAYA Clap

Bungie: "That will be 1000 Silver please."
