Challenging the "Everyone is Toxic" Forum Stigma
I'm not going to deny that there is a fair amount of toxicity around here but I'm starting to think some people are genuinely under the impression that they can't have a civilised conversation on here anymore and wanted to challenge that a little.
Feel free to leave a message about anything D2-related and I'll just give you my thoughts on it with a balanced perspective as much as I can.
(Personally won't be replying to any messages I feel are trolling/being toxic)
I'm sure others will chime in since I think there's a lot of genuine people around here who have a passion for the game, just a matter of finding them.

4 RepliesThere are some good eggs on here, its just the toxic kiddies are, as ever, the loudest demographic <DISCLAIMER> Having a problem with something in the game and offering respectful, constructive feedback on it, even with a dash of frustration, does not make you toxic! 😁👍 I'm actually mildly excited for next season, I find the Vex utterly fascinating and that their origins, motives, hierarchy etc are still so shrouded in mystery just makes it all the more interesting when they take centre stage. Getting a colossal faceblast of nostalgia from the return of VoG just... oh man... I'm ready 🤩

A lot of what happens is one person personally attacks another, the person being attacked attacks back thinking it’s defending themselves. A third party sees that and thinks “wow toxic” but it’s not really toxicity just bad communication. That third party sees it a few times and develops a bias where they focus on bad communication instead of discussion. Then they start making threads about how the community is toxic. The community is helpful and welcoming and friendly. It’s one of the major contributing factors to the game having success.

There are genuine concerns don’t get me wrong but.....its becoming a daily occurrence on here, its all you really ever see “nerf this, this is a problem, why aren’t you listening, im leaving because of this” etc its just....... i feel like is this what the community has become to the point where no matter where you stand it feels like your in no mans land and will get caught in the crossfire even if your just passing by, no matter what we get (as a community) we’ll find the cracks and rip it apart until its dust the turn that dust into glass and repeat the process. There are positive posts and they will always be welcomed. Thats just my thoughts though.... maybe i should just step away at looking At the forums for abit XD. Sorry if that sounded abit depressing or hard to follow like i said im not good at explaining my thoughts. I thought it would be ok too share thats all.

1 ReplyI don't really believe they're toxic but rather that they are very irritated by decisions made by the Bungie leadership or some follow them believing that everything is totally fine and no mistakes could possibly be made by the same.

1 ReplyAll people need to do is stop using profanity, using derogatory names aimed at Bungie and other forum members. If you are fed-up with the game, sick of PvP, or how others play then make your post/comment but be a respectful civilized human being.
