Guardian games, can’t unlock Closing Competitor
Still have the “aura” above all my guardians their head, 2 buddies unlocked the triumph at the moment, so why is mine not triggering?
1 of my buddies is a titan, other a hunter.
Tried all my characters, none works.
Edit: logged in this morning, triumph was magically added. Hope for everyone who missed out that it will trigger too soon, guess there is a hug delay for triggering the triumph or something.

You need to stand on your class' emblem and hold the button on the [Interact] prompt. You may have to wiggle a little to get the prompt to show, but it works every time. Did it on all my characters the first attempt with no problems.

I was able to unlock all of the associated triumphs under the Guardian Games tab. However, what I've been having trouble figuring out is how to complete the actual quest directing me to "visit the podium." The only clickable areas in and around that area includes Eva and the slots where you deposit medals. With the message on screen stating that I'm in need of medals to interact with the podium, I went and earned some more. When I came back and deposited those medals this continued to have no effect on completing the quest. I'm clueless as to how you're supposed to interact with the podium in order to finish off the quest.

4 RepliesSame for me. Bungie needs to fix this before the triumph/event is over. I personally have maximum triumph score. all other triumphs completed so missing out on this woould be pretty much a gamebreaker for me.

1 ReplyYeah i had the same prob with my warlock. Then i tried with my hunter going directly to the podium before going to Zavala and it worked. try that :)

One to pick up the "Spirited Rivalry" Emblem, and the second was the "Closing Ceremony" Quest with the "Completed" box already checked. I went to the podium after visiting Zavala, no "Interact" prompt when near the Hunter plate. Went to orbit, came back to tower. Sometimes that 'fixes' things. I checked Zavala a second time, nothing. Checked Space Grandma a second time, nothing. Checked the Podium a second time, nothing. Came here, found this thread. After reading it a bit, I went to orbit to switch to my Titan. [b]As soon as I went to Orbit, the "Closing Competitor" Triumph popped.[/b] So, try hanging out in the tower a little (5-10 minutes) then go to orbit. After doing this on my Hunter, I logged on as my Titan. Titan does not have Laurels/Glow over it's noggin. I visited Zavala, he had two prompts for me. One to pick up the "Spirited Rivalry" Emblem, and the second was the "Closing Ceremony" Quest with the "Completed" box [b]unchecked[/b]. I went to the podium after visiting Zavala, there's an "Interact" prompt I can use on the Titan plate. It looks like the issue is tied to already having the Laurels from a previous Medals ceremony. So, while you can eventually get the "Closing Competitor" Triumph to pop, you miss out on a Pinnacle drop from Interacting with your class' plate.

IDK I went to Zavala first and got the emblem. Then went to Eva. Then walked on the plate at the stairs and everything worked for me.

Indeed, same on all three for me as well. Guess it will auto pop after fix, or at least we hope it will.

2 Repliesso i had this issue on both my warlock and my hunter who already had their auras equipped from the previous weekend and the quest did indeed auto complete without giving me the triumph or the drop, i tried switching to my titan who i had not played during this event and picked up the quest from zavala before i grabbed the aura and that time it worked as intended giving me the triumph, so it seems that its bugging out if you already have the aura so for now if you haven't don't grab the quest from him until bungie fixes this

I figured something was up when the "visit the podium" step you get from Zavala, after the gives you the closing speech, showed as completed before I picked it up. Since all my characters have the glow from previous weeks, changing to them and visiting Zavala, in turn, did not work as a fix. Would appreciate a fix since It's the only triumph I would be missing for the season if it doesn't get solved. EDIT: So I logged in today and the triumph was completed. Guess Bungie did something under the hood... Hoping this happened to everyone else affected

Didnt work on my hunter, had to use my Warlock who didnt have the aura to get it.

i've got the same issue. the "aura" was still there from last week on all my chars, so now I can't activate it for this closing ceremony.

same, autocompleted on titan/warlock, and is showing completed on hunter before even picking it up, any1 got any ideas?

I have the same problem I think we all can not complete it because we have the "glow" on our heads from last week? That is maybe we can not interact with the podium. A clan mate tried it with a char that had the glow and it did not work, then he logged on a char that had now glow on his head and it worked...
