Would be neat if monte carlo got an catalyst that gave it overflow on melee kills.

Edit: Alternative idea - holding reload will switch this weapon to bayonet mode, which instead of firing gun will execute particular melee attack that causes bleed damage. Kills in this mode regenerate health.

A cool idea. Catalyst downgrades the MC to a legendary weapon but keeps all exotic perks, allowing you equip another exotic.

It should replace your melee ability with the freaking BLADE it has on the front and hitting a melee grants a hefty amount of energy to your melee ability. Something to that extent.

Fully charged bayonet grants increased mobility and, while sprinting, allows weapon to automatically stab any enemy within your field of vision and melee range. 3 RepliesOr make it so each kill you get with the gun increases your melee damage. It will work perfectly with the gun since melee kills increase your weapon damage and melee kills gives the gun ammo. So you get kills with the gun which will increase your melee damage then you melee things to increase your weapon damage.

i love Monte Carlo... if there is a Cata i would give it... a Stat boost in Range by 20+ and Zen Moment / Dynamic Sway / Under pressure... why cuz it gets harder to hit something at Range reliably and a Recoil reducing perk would benefit this gun the most... Monte Carlo is Already a Solid 600rpm a lill boost from the Cata is Fine in my eyes

That would be cool, but ultimately it probably wouldn't make the gun very good. What a great buff to monte carlo would do is lean in on the "regenerate and strengthen melee abilities". Personally, I think a catalyst should apply the damage boost from Markov Chain to your melee attacks, perhaps at even a double rate for PvE (It increases monte carlo damage by 50%, this would increase melee damage by 100%). Furthermore, the weapon should regenerate additional melee energy on precision hits. This would make the weapon a viable contender for even grandmasters, especially when auto rifles have anti-barrier or overload, and when we have the solar unstoppable solar melee mod. But most importantly, it would pair incredibly well with bottom tree solar hunter and Arthrys' Embrace which is already incredibly powerful in the hardest content the game has to offer. More than that, it would just be incredibly fun in lower level content!
