Bungie recently fixed the drop protection, but said it can still take months of grinding if you're unlucky. Maybe adjust your expectations?

Should we really lower our expectations, or do you really think it’s ok to have to run an endgame activity more than 20 times to get all of its loot? When did that become acceptable? The GM Nightfalls drop an adept version of a weapon and it only haste to be run more than once if you want different rolls of the weapon. I am now 61 Deep Stone boss clears as of today and I can tell you the population of people running it seems to be on the decline and my understanding is that is due to the fact that many now have the weapon. It should be a reward for completion or at least let us buy it with enough spoils.

I heard some people taking 100+ clears for vex Mythoclast, so it's been 6+ years like this.... at least they got bad luck protection now Let's say you won a free new car and the vendor said that they misplaced the order 4 months ago. They put the order in a month ago, they say that if you're unlucky, it could take a few months to get it. Why would you think you deserve it now, if the vendor said it can still take months? That's the adjust expectations part.... I understand the frustration, I got mine after 15 clears. Bungie says it can still take a few months if he's unlucky. Clearly this guy is unlucky.... He should just play and hope. Maybe stick to games with dedicated routes to gear, not RNG? Bungie admitted they are leaning towards the hobby player vs the casual players. So expect some grind. Sounds like you're an expert at designing games, you should develop your own destiny killer. I'd love to play it.

  • Nice reply, and we’ll said. The issue I have with your logic, is this was not a free item. There is a cost associated with it. My time and effort. I feel that I have put in enough work to earn it. I feel a more relevant example would be, say you’re at work and you go above the expectation of your normal work to complete a difficult task consistently each week, and you never get recognized for your efforts…That most likely would stop people from ever wanting to do that again. That’s not an effective incentive model.
