Sleeper Simulant isnt a good weapon and NEEDS A BUFF !!!
( this was written before the twab)
( I think they are buffing LFRs in good ways, but we have to wait and see if that makes sleeper variable again)
Sleeper Simulant once was one of the coolest and strongest Weapons in D1
Now its only a shadow of its former self
While the nerf for it in gambit was mostly understandable, nerfs after that werent
Season of the drifter reduced its ammo capacity from 13 to 9 for no clear reason
Season of opulence decreased its bounce damage extremly harshly and increased the non precious
damage by a tiny bit
while we can imagine why the bounce damage was nerfed, today this raid doesnt exist anymore so this nerf was also useless
Sleeper is one of the most under used weapons in the game and gets outclassed by so much that counting the amount of weapons that are much stronger ,is hard.
This weapons needs some buffs to have a chance again for being useful as a EXOTIC !
The Link obove memorizes it pretty well on what happend to this weapon and which solutions could be possible. Its still pretty fitting to the current situation.

They just nerfed it way to hard, I would prefer QUEENBREAKER get the buff it deserves. I want a catalyst that does crit stack damage...ie every consecutive crit adds 10% stacks 5 times or stacks for the whole mag. It was never useful in PVE. Pre nerf was one of the best feeling guns in the game but was useless outside of Gambit for a month. THAT gun needs to be fun again.

5 RepliesActually darci holds the title of most useless, especially now that sotp is vaulted. Queen breaker takes 2nd place. If you get the catalyst and masterwork it, it actually does pretty good dps.

Even with the 2-3 “nerfed” since the release of the Gambit mode, I never stopped to use the Sleeper Simulant. I’m good with this gun within or without aim assist (that was what they touched the most). The only problem and I agree, they touched the impact damage a lot!! I can do above average DPS with it but I wish this will follow the same buff Linear Fusion Buff damage to the Sleeper.

15 RepliesWith Heavy weapons like Eyes of tomorrow and Xenophage and along with today's Meta. It makes no sense to have the huge nerfs that were handed to the Sleeper. The list. Patch 2.5.0.1 june 4th 2019 Sleeper Simulant Reduced bounce damage against bosses, minibosses, and vehicles by 95%. Reduced precision multiplier, but increased base damage by 66%. This change results in precision shots dealing approximately the same damage as before, but you are punished less for landing non-precision shots. Patch 2.2.0 May 5 2019 Sleeper Simulant Reduced ammo reserves (from max 13 to max 9 without armor perks or Masterwork) Patch 2.0.5 Oct 30 2018 Gambit Sleeper Simulant now gains less ammo from Heavy ammo crates on the wall in Gambit (now 2, down from 4) Patch 2.0.4 Oct 16 2018 Reduced aim assist on Sleeper Simulant (massive reduction to all hit box) Patch 2.0 august 28 2018 Sleeper Simulant Fixed issue where charge time was not displayed properly on weapon Magazine size increased Reduced base damage

It's going to be in the exact same place following the buff unless it's get something specific to it. It currently does less DPS than a legendary LF so a 15% buff across the board isn't going to change that.

3 RepliesI'd be up for a rework. Here me out: Mars and Javelins have been put in the Destiny Content Vault (Warmind DLC). What if you could lock onto a target, highlight it, and after a long enough hold of the trigger Rasputin speaks (to the player and/or their fireteam) and shoots down a volley of Javelins (3-5) that do massive burst damage to targets, ESPECIALLY large targets that can be pierced multiple times?
