Theres literally no good reason why they aren’t the same speed. The amount of times I’ve lost a melee trade off with a Titan or Hunter in crucible is countless. The “range” buff warlocks get is barely noticeable and usually screws us when it doesn’t register a hit.
Why is it so hard to make all three the same speed?

3 RepliesNerf the range and give the speed

5 RepliesWhy should all 3 be the same? Why not make them all different?

1 ReplyOkay... Reduce the range of Warlocks melee

I thought it was addressed, but hell no it wasn’t.

3 RepliesDidn't they address this a while ago by saying that for technical reasons they weren't going to match the speed on all classes but instead give wearlocks a slightly longer melee reach in exchange. Pretty sure that was the case. It's a trade off. Play hunter if you want a quick melee, although be prepared to melee players twice then die when they shotgun you in the face.

8 RepliesThey gave warlock melee a extra meter, that makes it the best melee if you do it right, having a extra meter means you always get the first hit, that usually decides every melee battle, the opponent wont have enough time to melee you twice in that time frame unless you mess up

i’m a warlock, always have been always will be. and no. the melee is the most freebie insta hit yank your screen thing i’ve ever used. leave it alone please.

We’re fine. Trust me. I have 6.5 meters of melee range. That’s well enough to make up for not having same speed. With ophidians of course. We do not need same speed.

1 ReplyIt has more range than titan or hunters

11 RepliesEdited by Olórin: 4/30/2021 9:20:31 AMOur Warlock Melee has further range & is easier to land due to this. If it had range + speed we would win every melee dual. I also personally would prefer the range over speed anyway since its easier to execute thanks to its range advantage. Painting yourself as the victim wont help increase your game sense.
Our Melee is also the last thing that needs adjusting imo.
1 ReplyI think warlock melee is the last thing that needs to be looked at. Us warlocks have more melee range than the other classes anyways, meaning we get the first hit more often, which usually means we win. I’d rather have range than speed, but that’s just my opinion haha

4 RepliesEdited by cheese_foreva: 4/30/2021 8:40:11 AMYeah and while your at it, make Hunter melee the same damage as Titan / Warlocks. Warlocks and Titans one hit melee, while my hunter takes 2 hits. I run 10 Res as well. Match the damage if you want to buff the speed.

Edited by Ghostfire239: 5/1/2021 1:12:59 AMWell the thing is, melee speed is only effective in full on melee fight (as in double melees). That does not happen often at all. Melee’s are more commonly used as a means to finish off opponents that have already been damaged a bit. I personally would rather have the advantage in a situation that will happen often (melee’s being used as clean up), over being on par with everyone in a situation that rarely happens (double melee situations).

8 RepliesMelee speed has always been slower but warlocks get more range... meaning you will at least trade if you hit first.

2 RepliesThe thing who it the warlock melee is that it’s soo easy to hit, I could not believe it when I got on a warlock for the first time and constantly felt like I had knockout up because of the range and tracking
-
The other thing about their melee was that even before the hit registration increase, warlock melee still had a unique aspect to their melee in that the physical animation leaves them further from their target during and after the animation compared to Titan and Hunter. Where the Hunter and Titan must lunge for physical contact of their fist, a warlock’s palm strike leaves them further away, making it inherently “safer”.

3 RepliesThen what's the incentive to play them? They should of kept it the way it was, take out the arc subclass, class specific exotics
