Easter Eggs on Long Night of Solace?
Hey, just spent a couple of hours on Long Night of Solace looking for Easter Eggs, just the part before the spaceship battles.
Is anyone aware of any Easter Eggs on this map? It seems there is lots of opportunity for some Easter Eggs here, however i cant find any at this time. I am aware of both data pads on this level.
One interesting thing found is that the area that the ship launches from is the same map as the MM map Countdown, but 1 side is closed off and you cant reach the spaceship from there. However, with some jumping skills i managed to get to get to an area that you not supposed to get to (pretty much where the legendary data pad is, but on the opposite side). There is a ramp leading down from there into a large empty dark room. Also, you can jump through a hole in the wall near the top and get into an area with lots of pipes leading downwards, however you cant get out of this area and have to restart checkpoint.
Also, when you are storming the beach at the start, you can run along the left side of the beach and not have to fight any covenant, and you get to a place with some boardwalk kind of things that lead into the ocean. As soon as you get there a covenant dropship drops a wraith almost on top of you, but you can kill the driver and use the wraith. In this area there is a locked door that looks promising.

I could see a BOB hiding behind you there.

Apparently there is a Drop Pod that fires down randomly(not every time you play the mission) that has a BoB in it, it's on the walk along the Beach toward the Base, and there's also another one at the very end piloting the Corvette... And thanks for saying about the Pelican, did not know that... [Edited on 10.22.2010 1:55 PM PDT]

Ah, an interesting thing about that ocean outlook platform. If you go through the blast door into the bay asap, then immediately drop down 1 level to get to the outlook, there are a bunch of marines getting into a pelican. I tried quite a few times to jump on Halo 2 style but i just cant. I even tried jumping towards the cockpit to see if i could board it, no dice. Also, has anybody found a BOB on this stage yet? Because i didnt see one, at least in the first part of the mission. ( i did skip past a majority of the covenant however)

I looked in those exact same places and only found an endless paradox of enemies being dropped off by Spirits...and as for the launch bay, I found nothing, even looked on the ocean outlook platform...nothing...
