Frostbite: Exotic Hand Cannon Concept
Exotic Perk: kills with this weapon create a shatter effect
Catalyst: Stasis shards drop on multi kills
Uses primary ammo
Max shots: 10
Lore:
“What’s that?” the Warlock asked.
“It’s a hand cannon” the Titan said as she tinkered with it.
“I know what a hand cannon is, I’m not stupid. I’m talking about all the icicles covering the gun.”
“Oh that. It’s just Stasis.”
“Stasis? You mean that new darkness power?”
“Uh...yeah.”
“That power is extremely dangerous! You shouldn’t be messing with it!” the Warlock yelled.
“It hasn’t done anything yet. Plus this will provide useful information for the people who use it. Warlocks. Always so paranoid,” the Titan said.
“Paranoia isn’t always bad you know.”
“Sure”
The Titan held out the hand cannon and held their finger at the trigger. Stasis particles began swirling around it.
“Last I checked a gun was supposed to fire,” the Warlock said.
The Titan pulled the trigger and the gun fired an icicle at the wall and the wall froze.
“Ha! It works!” the Titan yelled in triumph.
“No way,” the Warlock said, “how did you get this power in a hand cannon?”
“My secret,” the Titan said.

No one needs to get ‘aggressive’ this gun isn’t coming to Destiny anyway. The exotic used to be good in PVE but everyone said I should change it so I did. Creating a balanced Stasis ANYTHING is hard.

Don't let the people hating because its a hard cannon get you down man. Most of us love them. Let the fact that it would be completely broken in pvp get you down.

So not only is it a hand cannon and unwanted intrinsically, but it also has an effect that would be annoying in PvP and completely dog shit useless in PvE. Marvelous.

The game doesn’t need any more slow, seriously whats wrong with you guys and the slow ideas? You want a stasis exotic? Try creating something thats not a handcannon and go for the lethal option over slow. If it has to be a handcannon then make it so enemies killed release an explosion (basically firefly) however the explosion will have a decent radius that will also burst any stasis crystals nearby, Enemies killed by the crystals will regen grenade energy. There you go, a stasis exotic that doesn’t annoy players and is lethal at both creating a crystal build and pairs well with stasis subclasses.

Nerfing Stasis hardly does anything. Believe me, I know. Even after its nerfing a few weeks ago I’m still getting sliced in half with silence and squall and frozen every second. It’s really difficult to make a working hand cannon with balanced stasis but I am trying my best to think of ways.

Counteroffer: get rid of the slow, make it two crit shots to freeze. Eriana’s Vow would flat out kill you in two shots, so freezing at two hits would mean you’re either already dead or actively in super in which case rip

Yes, but slow needs a nerf first. Once it no longer reduces weapon accuracy and handling/stability, then sure.
