Igneous Hammer is straight up horse ShT

The range and precision on that thing is mental. Who needs a scout rifle when that thing is around.

  • It’s not the range it’s the hitbox. Everyone thinks it’s a range issue but the issue is the hitbox is the entire upper body even the crotch gets you a crit, no joke! YouTube streamers demonstrated how ridiculous 120hc’s are and the reason Igneous noob Hammer is a bigger problem is the elitist players, cheaters and players that paid to get carried to flawless get the adept version which needs to stop. That’s why when your running scout on Fortress or Widows court or a max range pulse with killing wind and your getting smoked over and over again by some no skill 120 hc goon jumping all over at 50m while firing and he hits all 3 crits for the kill not even having to aim and you can’t even pull off a 3rd round because you have to hit his small head while he’s jumping all over and your dead every time. 120’s need the hitbox shrunk to the head only. Then there is no way they’re gonna outgun a scout or pulse from outside 30m because they won’t be able to hit 3 consecutive headshots. I only play scouts, pulses/sidearms or fusions. I’m sick of getting 3 tapped from across big maps or hunters and titans with Felwinters , astral. Shotguns also need to be nerfed to the ground. Players should have to aim and have skill to get kills. This pos meta rewards players with crap aim and good players who know how to play maps. 120hc will also beat sidearms from close range. Anyone who says and I don’t care what stats say pulse rifles do not have a faster ttk. Iv’e tested it over and over, firing at the exact same time sometimes you kill each other but most of the time 120’s beat you before you can pull off a 3rd shot. Don’t know if maybe one shot from my pulse is slightly off the head while the 120hc can be more than a foot off and still get the crit. Either way I hope they nerf them into being useless.

    • Ironically I found a counter (personal taste not sure how other geel about it) in Bows. Considering a Bow isn't gonna be punished like normal weapons when it comes to getting flinched, and the two hit kills makes it easy to clean up an overconfident Igneous user or make one back off. Only sad thing is there is a limited amount of legendary bows and two out of the 4 kinetic ones are raid weapons :/

          • Meh. I’ve been using 120’s since before they were cool. Duke, Crimils, Loud Lullaby, Pribina, etc. but, I used scouts more this season since the return of my baby, The Guiding Sight.

          • You know what in fact is horse Sht? Now, i could say "you" but that would be immature and i am totally not immature. But for real, people literally complain about every single meta. I am gonna go on a whim and say that a 120 meta is probably one of the best we can get. I loved the 150 meta, people complained, bungie removed em. Now people complain and DMT, the literal most broken and non skill requiring piece of shit gun will become meta instead. Good job crybabies, that meta will be so much better than 120's. SMH.

              The zoom is the problem. Drewski made a video about how low zoom created this same problem on snipers. You can’t have a 40m+ range weapon with 14 zoom without generating an enormous hit box. It’s all about cones. Low zoom sights are mean for up close and personal and have a large hit box up close to make them feel right (size of hit box determined by aim assist + accuracy). Ranged weapons like scouts have the same sized hit box but farther away which is why they feel terrible up close, the cone is much narrower at 25m for a scout then a hand cannon. Now draw a cone from the end of the barrel, passing through an generously sized “up close” hit box, say 1m diameter at 25m to make the math simple (this is probably still conservative for you average high aim assist/low zoom hand cannon). keep on expanding the same cone angle out to 50m, again to make the math simple. The hit box size at end of the 50m cone is now 2m in diameter, and just like that anything from the targets belt to his floating health bar is a crit shot. They should just increase to zoom of the sights and leave the damage and range alone.

                  • It’s a great hand cannon but it’s not gonna beat a scout at range. But you were probably trying to beat it at mid range with a scout which is suicide.

                    Have you tried the Iron Banner scout with Iron Grip? Wipes the floor with Igneous. I dug mine out of the vault after seeing Destiny Fun Police's video on it. It works. Edit- Downvoted by the IH fanclub, who don't want you to know how to counter it. Ha!

                    • Unless its in MY hand. WITH targeting mods on my helmet AND the weapon. I believe Bungie has deactivated ALL aim assist in PvP on my account. But in PvE...the assist is atrocious!!!

                    • Igneous hammer really does feel like the best 120 out there. I feel limited because there is nothing I. The primary slot that I can really use effectively. Astral is trash compared to felwinters. No fusions other than bastion. I’m too inconsistent with chaperone. Because of that, I tend to go back to steady hand. Actually looking forward to the next meta. Took a while to get used to 120’s, had some fun, now I’m ready to move on.
