TOP OF CLASS Quest / Machine Gun kills not counting
I have the Top of Class quest to get the exotic catalyst for Heir Apparent. My Step 2 of 2 is to get "Machine Gun kills in Daily Focus playlists". I have played about 6 strikes (started from the Director map Guardian Games Strikes playlist) with an Exitus Mk.1 machine gun heavy weapon but have accumulated ZERO progress towards the 100 kills. Help!
Do I abandon the Top of Class and somehow pick it up again? It's just not working. And I've wasted hours doing strikes this way to still be no closer to completion.
And yes, I have my Lion's Pride Titan mark on/equipped!

Wait it has to be with the daily focus? Why doesn't the quest mention it???

Strikes was yesterday....it’s crucible today🤬.... gambit will be tomorrow. Save your sanity and wait.

I’m pretty sure today’s focus is Crucible buddy. Is the Guardian games symbol above strikes for you? You check in your directory.
