Eva didn't make Caydes cloak Bungie
In the new lore tab for that Guardian games sparrow we see Osiris visiting Eva to get a cloak created for Crow in secret
Eva comments that the last time she made a personal cloak for someone it was for Cayde
But that's not true at all, because Caydes cloak belonged to Andal Brask first. Only for Cayde to take it for himself after Taniks killed Andal, as a way of honoring his now dead best friend
I totally get that this card was heavily pushing the whole "Crow is Caydes successor" theme, especially that last line in the lore tab
But you goofed this one my guys and gals (and non binary individuals that might be on the writing staff)

Ok, but did you notice that in the flashback cutscene trailer for Zavala’s backstory, Cayde is wearing the cloak he’s always worn, BEFORE the Vanguard was ever even formed, yet it’s the same cloak that Andal Brask was supposed to wear...? -

And the lore surrounding this was the hardcase cloak (looked it up just now). That's not a confirmation Cauyde kept Andal's cloak. If there was any change to it to restore it? Then the cloak now falls to Cayde and the symbol of it belongs to Andal.

22 RepliesCayde has a cloak before Andal was killed. So it could be that one, which he then gave up to use Andals. Now as for the crow... People need to stop fawning over him. He is a decent character, that's it. Like honestly I wish people would understand that the crow needs to prove himself to the vanguard and build a reputation before he ever is considered to be hunter vanguard... Because the whole "Uldren killed cayde... He got all caydes stuff! That means the gig! Read the ace of spades card!" I have said this before and I'll keep saying it until people actually understand. Uldren is dead, and he never fufiled caydes dare... The crow is a new light with little experience... The crow isn't uldren, just has his face... Even IF he was uldren? He never fufiled caydes dare. Caydes dare was something specific which has never been met. Ace of spades lore card isn't relevant to it at all. The crow is a decent character but he isn't hunter vanguard matirial by a LONG shot. The new hunter vanguard should be Shiro 4... He has experience, the reputation and knowlage of how the vanguard works. He was one of caydes lead scouts aka his best friends and possible successors. In a nutshell... He is more than qualified.

Who is to say that he did not want another cloak, just for special occasions. Whilst his cloak did belong to Andal Brask, it is quite likely that once Taniks was killed by us Cayde-6 felt that vengeance for his friend had been attained and that he could finally lay the cloak down and let Andal's spirit rest. Now whilst Eva did make the new cloak for Cayde-6, he never got the opportunity to wear it as the tower was destroyed by the Red Legion and the cloak was lost along with it.

It could be that she redesign and refurbished his cloak, if you look at Andal Brask ornaments the cloak is exactly like caydes minus the aces, so cause must have had the aces added by eva
