Traction Mod Needs To Be The Standard Turn Radius

Why are console players forced to use the Traction mod on their boots to have any decent turn radius but PC players dont? The mod already costs zero and it takes up a slot on boots which could be used to make a better armor build. Edit: After a day of seeing comments and seeing how other people feel, it seems pretty split on how people feel regarding the Traction mod. My point of the matter is eventually Bungie is pushing for crossplay, where it would be unfair for console players because they are forced to use Traction mod for tighter turns where PC players, given they are using mouse and keyboard, have no need for Traction mod for tighter turns. My desire to have the effects of Traction mod without the mod is purely selfish but it makes the game across all platforms fair.

  • I get your point of it not being balanced come cross play, but they are making it so console loads with console and pc is by itself, the only time they cross is when you CHOOSE to join the other. As for it being automatically a part of the boots I agree. It doesn't add much to the game besides affecting you mobility and it's not like it's crazy where you can just turn around on a dime. But it's budgie, I think it will happen but it's going to take awhile, they went in the right direction making it cost no energy

    Playing destiny 2 on controller sucks. You're much better off playing MnK. It's better at controlling recoil and pretty much everything a controller does. Adding MnK for console players should even things out. edit: Correcting a few things. MnK does indeed have aim assist. Just not to the extent of a controller's aim assist.

    • I wouldn’t mind if it’s a slider like toggle on or off. But I personally don’t want it, and don’t want it permanent. Even tho I’d probably adapt to it, I still want it to be choice if anything... :)

        We need advanced settings in general. Pitch, Yaw, Dead Zones, FOV, general sliders. Just look at Titanfall 2, a game that was released a year before Destiny 2. There are so many settings it makes Destiny 2 look ancient.

          there needn't be a standard turn radius the radius should be adjustable in setting, it's not normal that everyone uses the exact same turning angle no matter the speed is fast or slow

I’m good with a toggle on/off system but I don’t use traction.

          • Maybe not a default setting for the boots but maybe something you could toggle instead of wasting a mod slot for a 0 energy mod when you could get far better use out of another mod there.

            Agree. Before it made sense for it to be a mod since it gave hidden points to the mobility stat but now it doesn't do that anymore. Honestly feel like it should be a toggle that way people who don't like traction can have it off and vice versa.

          • No thanks. I honestly do not like traction at all. Being forced to use that turning radius would not be fun. There should be more settings for sensitivity, so you can set things like turning radius while walking or sprinting, for your own play style. It shouldn't be a mod at all. It should just be part of the game settings.

                      • What they need to do is provide different sensitivity scales for turning and while aiming like on pc. I want to be able to turn very quickly but I want my aim sensitivity at 3 or 4.
