Matchmaking is not working as intended
Never seen Crucible MM in such a bad state, Day 1 vet from D1.
It is hideous and needs refactoring completely. If you do not have the skills in house, outsource it to another software house.

I know right. Numerous times I have been put into matches with opponents who are better then me. I prefer to be put in matches with opponents who are either on par or worser than me. [spoiler]JK[/spoiler]

I was late getting into a control match. I guess some players rage quit because a stack of hunters were decimating everyone! They would group up and move around the map and camp at spawn points. Nobody on my side had a chance. I just sat in one place as soon as I was shot because it won't be long before I'm finished off. I honestly think the matchmaking is fairly balanced in general but it's not what everyone thinks. There usually would be an even spread of experience. Sweaties on both teams and people like me. Going against stacks like that match was rare.

Crucible is plainly bad in general, is that somehow not a possibility to people or something? Paint Matchmaking as your boogyman when it literally can only work with what is given. Destiny PvP is too chaotic to sustain casual play, so if it feels like you're constantly being thrown at "sweaty cowards" well that's because anyone that's "good" and plays frequently is gonna appear that way. It's impossible to distinguish actual skill when shit's 90% cheese.

10 RepliesMy destiny career I have a 50% w/l and a positive kd. This season I have a 14% w/l and a negative kd. I already don’t enjoy crucible. Getting raw dogged with no lube makes it worse.

More often than not matches are blowout wins/losses. I'd dare say that's the goal. Not connection based matchmaking...but blowout based matchmaking.

6 RepliesI'd have to agree with this. I've been playing some Freelance Iron Banner and the team balancing is flat-out bad. Most matches are ending up in mercies, which indicates that their matchmaking is not working on the whole.

3 RepliesAt this point PvP needs to be gutted and reworked from the ground up. Matchmaking, server quality and connections, special ammo is way too dominant, ability usage is literally higher than weapons at this point... it’s just so broken.

Bungie loves the lopsided - being kind - matches, that's what they as individuals prefer. Makes them feel good. Like when their dad's gave them the participation trophy for (inset whatever). I bet they all love second place.

3 Repliesthats is not the matchmaking the problem, that is how the special ammo are working with scanvanger. If your team mate are not playing the mode like control and are in a imaginary world thinking that flag serve no purpose. And finally stasis is where all the problem are. Also bungie dont care or dont have a clue how to matchmaking.

I dont know if it already has been implemented in IB but I gotta say that this IB felt waaaaaay better than the other. The only I got some mercy rules was when I was playing in a 6 stack 🤷🏽♂️
