Instant freezing has zero place in PvP.
I know stasis was nerfed. So what? Still way better than all light-based subclasses.
Instant freezing (and really, freezing in general) has no place in a movement-based shooter, imo.
PvP on the whole sucks way more than it used to. As they say, you can’t polish a turd, and stasis is a big, stinky one.

Stasis is perfect the way it is because it’s a great equalizer between the classes. Stop crying because your hunter isn’t the only one who can null someone else’s super. Freezing your opponent is a perfect counter to the annoying player who just slides all game to get a shotgun kill, or a titan charging you with their one hit melee.

2 RepliesYea, I honestly think the only saving grace they can have now is to find a way to scrap this subclass and in the lore we find out that this was a test by the darkness to see if we could handle it and they upgrade it to what darkness powers really are. Just don’t know what that could be lol.

Freezing in the crucible is what the superleague is to football (soccer). Freezing abilities in the crucible completely undermines PvP.

I would rather me get fully frozen and have no hope of fighting back, rather then getting slowed and getting a flase hope of being able to fight back.

I just got back into Destiny after a few months off and after playing [i]one[/i] strike with a stasis user I can honestly say it’s the most infuriating subclass. Constantly getting in the way of line of fire, deflecting grenades and projectiles, obscuring sight lines... I mean what the hell, Bungie, what is this abomination? I hate it. I really do. I’m sure other people love it, and maybe it was just one specific type of stasis, but for me it’s a combat liability.

Everything about PVP is garbage including the outdated, easily exploited architecture it is built on.

Try playing with range, like go Scout or Pulse, and Stasis is almost completely negligible.

6 RepliesIt's an ability based shooter Stasis is good in close range. Ig you have problems with it you probably are a filthy shotgun ape, knowing only how to rush into people. If you wanna play a good point and click game I'd recommend Myst but that exceeds probably your brain capacity

It's so dumb and lazy, this is what Bungie has devolved into ... so sad. I now consider Bungie as on par with the devs that make stick figure games ... same quality.
