Korean text chat has been unavailable for seasons now. We are literally being silenced in-game.

Around the launch of Beyond Light, Destiny 2 suddenly stopped supporting Korean text chat. We still had the language symbol to the right of the chat box indicating which language we are typing, so it can be assumed it's not a Destiny problem. Reverting Windows to a prior update also proved effective, therefore it could be assumed that there might be compatibility problems with the game and Windows. Yet people like me, who installed a fresh version of Windows or updated more than 10 days ago have no way to communicate in Korean. Korean players are quite literally being silenced from the game thanks to the unavailability of Korean support by Bungie. Please look into this as quickly as possible. To forum members: is there any way to directly contact Bungie? This is a serious issue yet there is seemingly no way to contact them directly about this bug.

  • You could try typing in Notepad then copy/paste into the chat

  • Hello. We're aware of and are currently investigating this issue. Unfortunately, this does appear to be a compatibility issue between Destiny 2 and Windows. We're currently waiting to hear back from Microsoft on a solution.
