Solo strikes option
Bungie we really need the option to run strikes solo now that SDR has been implemented across the board, setting date back to load in solo will never work.
Now strikes are once again going to be a hot toxic mess filled with speed runners who de spawn everything before anyone can get a look at the ads or bounty runners who won't play the objective instead run off to complete bounties.
How is that meant to be enjoyable for those that are actually there to run and complete the strike?

3 RepliesThere are ways to make strikes solo. Utube has vids on how to change your firewall settings so matchmaking is effectively turned off. I hear there's even small scripts you can download that will change everything for you at a click then change them back with another click. You're not actually messing with anything in game, just your own firewall settings. We shouldn't have to be messing with firewall settings to do something like this, but this is an option should you want it.

For the bounties... Load into Lake of Shadows on EDZ. Proceed to work on your bounties. When you get pulled forward, run back to the beginning to continue bounties. Get pulled again? Go to orbit and reload. Rinse and repeat til finished.

Why do people have a problem with someone who likes to go quicker? Also, I feel like at least half of the "speedruners" who get complained about are really people who are just better and quicker at the game. That being said, I have no problem with solo strikes.

There's always been backlash to this kind of post and I can't understand why. Some players like to enjoy a strike and get bounties done, some like to speed run and skip a bunch, and no doubt there are some folk who would love to teleport to the boss and kill it with one shotgun shot (though I wouldn't class these as true players). Having a solo option for everything would be great in my opinion, and it would be an OPTION, so why have a go at the OP?

21 RepliesThis seems like a "someone took all the kills" so I'm angry kinda post. Strikes are built for 3... Just because one person is killing everything doesn't mean they need a solo mode. SPEEDRUNNERS: I have yet to see any of these people... The only people who come close are those who run forward and inevitably die causing you to kill everything, and ignore their res as basically a non verbal FU. BOUNTY PEOPLE: They are doing bounties... You know, what they are supposed to do for XP and gear. Now if they run off into a lost sector.. Here's the solution. Run forward into a darkness area. Kill yourself and it will pull them forward. Easy fix. Seriously if you do it, they will get annoyed and try and run back but guess what? Some strikes have this fantastic feature called barriers that's stop them. They usually get mad and leave, then get replaced by a good player

1 ReplyIf you are on PS4 and want to do strikes solo, got to your time and date settings and change it manually to a date previous to the current date, load into the tower, then go back to orbit and then load the strike (even in the playlist) you’ll be able to do them solo all day every day, hope this helps

I agree. Many times, the only way I can complete Bounties or challenges is in the 1300 NightFall solo. Of course that assumes the Nightfall starts in Public space.

Imagine not manually loading into hollowed lair and going to one of the 2 immediate lost sectors to complete bounties

This would be handy for completing bounties, especially those pesky scorn objectives... It's nonsense that the main scorn-themed strike has tons of scorn spawning in the final room that DON'T actually count as scorn kills.

I like it. Optional matchmaking for all activities. Seems like a no brainer.
