Clan Banners
So, I was having a fun discussion with my Clan (totally should check it out btw), but anyways, we got to talking about clan banners and the banner customization. Why in the world would we have the ability to customize our clan banner poles if we never get to show 'em off and/or see them? Why spend time, energy and money designing sick poles for active clans if no one but the clan member gets to see it?
Some ideas came up were: Get rid of the current raid banner look, when someone places a raid banner down, show their clan banner they customized! Another idea was something taken from Runescape, placing a clan banner down in the world and people can inspect it to see an overview of the clan. We need something for these clan banners, especially when we get customization but no way to show it off.

This is a cool idea. Also more customization options for the banner would be nice. Hell we have shaders so add them as color options. With that said, this isn't that big of a deal and if it can't be done in like an afternoon, then I'd rather the man power be put toward activity content, not vanity stuff that's kinda arbitrary.

I feel like the only incentive to hit top rank is to unlock a bounty... We shouldn't be locked out of certain bounties just because, we aren't top rank yet. Those bounties are supposed to HELP you hit top rank, no? The clan banner customization options haven't been touched since the release of D2. The system in which we earn clan points is horrible; [b]ANY activity you do with a clanmate should offer clan points.[/b] Its lame that my buddy and I can't get clan points for doing most of the activities in the game together. We just end up grinding out patrols and pub events to fill the points. Lame. The whole point system and how we earn clan points needs a rework. Maybe a clan space? Make us actually feel like we are in a clan we play, not just another page on the Directory. Here's an idea my buddy had: clan donation box. He's sitting on massive stacks of mats and wishes he could donate to his clannies who need them. Have a limit on how much you can donate/receive a week. Donate glimmer/shards/cores/planetary mats to a collective clan pool. Earn a small amount of clan points for donating maybe? This would be GREAT for big or small clans. The vets can help the newbies. Or in a smaller clan of close friends helping each other out. I dunno. I feel like Bungie made the clan system when D2 dropped and has neglected it since. It has SO MUCH potential. And OP is right: a better way to show off our flag or staff would be cool. Maybe our clans "crest" can be a patch/medallion on our armor.

I believe in the early days when you loaded into a crucible match you would see your character place down a banner and it would be your clan banner, it was over 4 years ago and i dont have any screenshots/videos to double check i do know theyve rotated the entering animation before

I always thought this was the original intention for banners in PVE and PVP., not that I ever heard it was mind. I guess they never got around to implementing it properly. But yeah you’re right... maybe it’s gonna be a next gen feature 😂
