Grandmaster Nightfall Adept Weapon should be guaranteed drop!
I’ve completed Arms Dealer & Fallen SABER Grandmaster Nightfalls so far this season & all I’ve got to show for it is an Adept Reload mod from the Arms Dealer. No Adept weapons dropped upon completing the hardest PvE content in D2.
They dropped for my other fireteam members.
It took several hours on each of those Nightfalls to work out the strats to get the completion & I have nothing to show for it. Well...a mod which I can’t even use. This is not rewarding your player base. I now don’t want to bother doing anymore GM Nightfalls as the work I need to put in is not being rewarded.
Why isn’t the Adept Weapon a guaranteed drop?
You’re guaranteed an Adept Weapon for going Flawless in Trials which is PvP’s most challenging content.
So why not for completing the hardest PvE content?

2 RepliesTry the vanguard prosperity mod on your ghost. I've received one each time since I started using that when running the GMs. The gambit one has helped me get some bottom dollars too

5 RepliesCompleting Trials is 5,000 times harder than completing grandmaster nightfall. While I agree with droprate being too low you A. cannot compare PvE to PvP and B. could NEVER assume GM nightfall is as hard as Trials Flawless. You are literally comparing apples to spaceships

Bungie could even be more specific with the loot drops: 1 x Adept weapon = guaranteed (chance of 2 drops) 1 x golf ball = guaranteed (chance of 2) 3 x prisms = guaranteed (chance of 6) 5 x cores = guaranteed (chance of 10) Exotic weapon or armor = chance of Bungie should also offer the same reward system on legendary & master NF's as they do on Lost Sectors - if completed solo, Exotic armor.

Seems like you are just very unlucky. We have done around 20 GMs this season and only 2 times I didn't get an adept weapon. My friend even got one on every single run 😅

I made a similar earlier in the season and was surprised by how many people disagreed and felt GM adepts should remain an uncommon drop. The irony was they were fine with trials adepts being guaranteed drops.

Hence the grind ends you go play other games. They listened to a jackass phycologist that had them tailor the game for people with addictive personalities. They are all about money and not just building and selling a game that gives players countless hours of fun and enjoyment. I feel your pain and agree completely with you drop rates are deplorable. In fact the GM should be a guaranteed drop and allow you to pick barrels, sights, stocks, masterwork etc. Otherwise it truly isn't an adept weapon.

I'm actually a little surprised they didn't make the first drop each week guaranteed, similar to Trials. I don't think every run should be a guaranteed drop, but it does feel bad if you get 1 run done in a week and have nothing to show for it.

Content versus actual players who can develop strategies/adapt and content versus A.I. controlled combatants which are predictable/exploitable shouldn't be compared. I do agree the drop chance is too low though. They should consider a system where your first GM clear of the week on that character gets a guaranteed Adept weapon and subsequent clears have like a 50% drop chance.

I completed my first ever GM Nightfall just yesterday with some helpful strangers, and I believe I was the only one who didn't get any weapons, I walked away with 1 Golf Ball and some high 50's stat armor... :') I enjoyed the challenge nonetheless.

no guaranteed drop means that Bungie does not respect your time playing. This situation is completely black and white and Bungie has shown over and over they no not care about your time.

With as difficult as these are for the average player, anything below a 100% drop rate isn’t worth it

9 RepliesIt also sucks that inn trials you are guaranteed an adept mod for flawless, which is the hardest pvp activity, but when you complete a gm the hardest pve activity an adept mod is not guaranteed. Smh. Makes no sense 😕.

I feel bad for those who don't get drops. Last week I did about 10 completions and probably got 8 Adept Pally's. This week I did about 8 completions and got 8 drops. All but one were garbo. I think the first completion should give a drop 100% guaranteed.
