Legend Lost Sector Exotics
I played Destiny today for the first time in months and finally hit the soft cap of 1250. When I finally hit all the requirements to start Legend Lost Sectors, I discovered the recommended level is 1300. It could take me months to get to 1300. I work full time and unfortunately have school as well. I honestly didn’t have time today but I went for it anyways.
I like the idea of having solo content but it sucks that all new exotic armor pieces are locked to it. On top of it all, there is a power grind to even participate. There should be other ways to obtain these Exotics or the power level for the activity should be dependent on the player’s current level.
I haven’t seen one player with any of the Beyond Light Exotics. Does no one have them or are the exotics just no good?

[edit] Thanks to everyone who responded and gave advise. It’s motivating to hear. Thanks for not being toxic. Please share any more fast leveling tips you may have for someone who just barely passed hit 1250. How much time would I have to spend each day/week roughly?

2 RepliesEdited by Yamabushi999i: 4/12/2021 7:53:06 PMAs far as what's good: Mask of Bakris for Hunter is S tier for Crucible. Necrotic grips on Warlock with Thorn is S tier for PvE. (<--Bungie pattern right there). Mantle of Battle Harmony is also good for PvP. Then there's, you know, Titan. Levelling provides a bit of pointless chasing, strongly punishes returning players having taken breaks away - which may be the real reason behind it, and reduces weapon diversity. It's a poorly thought out system. LLS are just **another** Chumpion focused activity, really dull. But at least you can partially target loot which is some improvement.

If you're 1250 now and it's been a slog, don't target them this season. I know it's an extra 100 instead of 50 but you have much longer to go at it. This season is over soon and I'd hate for you to hit the level only for it to increase. Just do everything you can with powerful drops, if you can get any pinnacles try and do those when you're around equal level on each piece for the biggest bump.

2 weeks if you do all your Powerful rewards. Start with tier 1 then work up to pinicals. If you get a high level piece that makes your blues drop higher make sure to farm blues for all your slots then do the next powerful reward. Iron banner is back this week it will be rough but all the bounty rewards are powerful.

I play super casual these days it’s not hard to reach 1300. Do the powerful rewards first pinnacles last.

2 RepliesFor leveling, just try to double / triple stack weekly engrams. Do what's fastest for you. You really can hit the soft cap after a few weeks. Extra valor next week, so playing comp. would be the fastest activity, use the ghost mode to get extra gear drops. But yeah, I hear your pain. By the time you hit 1300, it'll be a new season and you'll have a new target light level. I would be at the required level to do the heroic lost sectors or you are wasting time your time IMO. You'll have to run them something like 20 times before you start getting drops. Only do the ones I can complete in about 5 to 6 minutes. I might focus on other things for a while.

It’s all about your setup , if you go in with the wrong gear it’s gonna be really hard however if you go in with the right equipment it’s really easy.

Leveling is the easiest it’s ever been in Destiny’s history. With the level cap only going up by 10 from now on apart from big releases even if you don’t get high enough this season you’ll definitely be there for the next. As for the difficulty, I got the new exotic this season week 1 running them 29 levels under (1271 completing the 1300) Difficulty wise they’re extremely easy and the drop rates are very good (Legend is 25%) I’ve played since the start and earning exotics through lost sectors is absolutely perfect. Takes less then a hour to get these exotics and same take less then 15 mins. It’s WAY faster regardless then hoping one of your powerful drops change to an exotic and hope again for a new one. Took me like a month to get the Warlock exotic when they were newly added to the world drops and that was doing every powerful reward every week.

It will not take months to get to 1300. Took me a week to get there, just do your powerfuls.
