3,000 Glimmer for Bounties is pretty absurd.

I understand completely on how easy Glimmer is to get within the game but spending 3,000 Glimmer for 1 bounty is a little too much and gets old quick. Glimmer is used within almost everything within the game so it goes quick and i don’t think anyone should be spending that much on bounties JUST to get them done in the first place. How about at least 1,000 Glimmer instead? [spoiler]Moderator edit: This thread has been updated with tags that are more appropriate. • Doing the extra bounties cost extra because of the bright dust reward. More players using bright dust in eververse means less people spending money on silver and we know bungie doesnt like that idea lol

    • Both the glimmer cap and the cost of bounties is a relic from old console generations and needs to be rethought. It’s clear that the lack of imagination here (or with vault space) is the work of lazy game design.

    • 3k glimmer is pocket change.

How about 1,000 Glimmer per bounty instead? Maybe even 750 Glimmer instead? Please, either drop the prices on those bounties or add 2 more 250 Glimmer bounties, especially considering no bounties were added and replaced the weekly bounties that were taken away. • I believe even more disturbing is you can hold only 250k. If it was unlimited or at least 1m then it would be less of a nuisance imho. I have hundreds of these glimmer boosters plus you have the perks on your ghost shell so acquiring glimmer is not that difficult. Giving it a cap is detrimental.

          • It's funny how Bungie is looking for ways to show numbers that they have gone out of their way to do that more so than actually create a game. Since Forsaken it's been about jacking the cost up for items and downsizing everything else in the game as if removing half the game without actually updating what was left wasn't bad enough. This company needs to get their act together because I have never seen a compnay stoop this low to show numbers.

              • You’re basically trading an easy-to-get resource for bright dust. That would naturally make the “exchange rate” high because bright dust is the only way to purchase cosmetics that you would otherwise need to pay silver (bought with actual money) to acquire.

              • I agree with most responses below that glimmer is extremely easy to acquire. Annoying that you can run out, but easy nonetheless to reacquire

              • I really don’t understand the point of glimmer, why do we have to pay to change mods, shaders or pick up bounties? It’s plain stupid to me.

              • 5 gear, pretty much 3 to 5 mods per gear. That’s 10,000 glimmer on average to change mods for each activity. Beyond ridiculous.

                • that and charging you glimmer for swapping mods you already have. this doesn't make sense why does it cost to swap something you have. but if your charging 3000 per bounty for bright dust. you should be able to pick what bounty you want to do. not the random garbage at the moment. also there needs more different bounties guns which you actually use. not just the melee, grenade scout rifle. bungo need to be more creative with bounties

                • I don’t buy the repeatable 3k ones 99.9% of the time . And the normal ones I usually delete 5 to 10 each day due to expired. In Destiny 1 they never expire.

                  • You’re paying for the convenience of doing many bounties at once - I’m okay with this - if you don’t like it just wait until tomorrow or get bounties just before the reset

                  • Paying for bounties makes no sense to me you're paying vendors to do a job for them. That's like going to McDonald's and paying them 10 bucks to work a hour and in return they give you 10 rocks they found outside in the parking lot.

                  • Especially when you have to delete the bad, time-consuming ones. I never keep the super, grenade, or melee ones - they are simply too demanding. I'll delete a gambit grenade bounty (25 kills), only to repurchase it for 3k the very next try.

Bungie: You said you didn’t like grinding bounties to level up....and we listened. We made it too expensive to grind bounties to level up Everyone: so how do we level up now? Bungie: uhhhhhh...grind bounties? Everyone: but.....never mind, I’ll just cash in all my shards for glimmer. Bungie: eeeeeeeeeeexcellent.

                    • Glimmer shouldn't even exist. It serves one purpose. To artificially slow progress towards goals.

                      • I think 25k for a trial passage is annoying. Especially if you decide to run all 3 characters, you'll be out 75k.

                      • I agree it is a bit absurd. I think they should be 5k or 7.5k. 3k just feels a bit cheap tbh, I don't want free handouts...

                        • The situation will become worse in the future. Bungie plans to remove shaders from your inventory. You won't be able to obtain Glimmer or Shards from dismantling extra shaders.
