Lament nerfed once again, as if it was still op. Swords are supposed to be high risk high reward for getting close to a boss, now they're becoming more and more high risk mediocre reward.
Falling was already nerfed twice and it's a lot less popular nowadays, yet you still nerf it?
Instead of unnecessary nerfs, buff other words instead! Literally every other sword is worse! Stop it with these nerfs!
You obviously are looking to make a rocket only meta, and most players don't want that! We want a meta were every archetype, every weapon type is relevant, not have one outlier. And before you say the swords were the outliers, no, they were not. Rockets are more popular now. Even before these nerfs. They're not op, just good enough to be viable.
For those who don't know, the Lament nerf was -16% damage from the heavy revved up attack.
Add that with the -15% nerf from last season, the heavy attack now does 31% less damage than when it came out.
Ah, I admit I overlooked Lament in Gambit. I think the primeval should get more damage resistance against swords because we can all agree swords delete it in like 5 seconds. That's the only place it needs more nerfs.

Guillotine is getting a small increase to heavy costs and Lament’s wack ass burst damage will be a bit lower. The world will survive.

Swords are supposed to be high risk high reward for getting close to a boss
Lament heals you when you hit enemies with it.

so sad this forum is full of easy mode for tutorial mode players

The issue is all swords got nerfed becasue of guillotine and laments problem which is an issue for sure. But those two most certainly needed and lament still does

26 RepliesNo, I'm against people that accept how low Bungie has set the bar in this game that they will accept literally anything thrown at them. Gaming today has gone to shit and this generation is the problem with gaming today. Back in the day developers had to work at making a game, and Bungie is setting a path showing we don't have to put any effect into this game to make any quality content, we can just manipulate them and they will eat it all up. Not me... This post means absolutely nothing at all because it will not change anything Bungie is doing, that most that agree with your post will just accept it just like everything else they excepted and forget about it within a month. It's just like the BS they pulled about the unintentional nerf to a rocket launcher? How can something be unintentional when the sandbox has been at this for 14 years because I know they aren't allowed to just do whatever they want, I mean there is a lead for a reason, right? but that nerf has been excepted because "Bungie said it was unintentional". Bungie has been towing with the community for years with the nerfs and buffs in this game to fit their needs and wants, not the communities. They do this with just about every single update, oh they want this specific weapon nerfed, okay, but let's nerf this and that and, Oh yeah, that over there too while we are at it. Just give them some BS story while we need to nerf this game to the ground that we promised we wouldn't do as we did in D1🤦♂️

Glad I'm not missing anything. Swords and Bows were the only thing that kept me playing in Forsaken since they gave the game a new dynamic. Oh well 🤷🏻♂️

1 ReplyWhy is this post dropping we need to keep it up!
-
Pretty soon they’ll be like rocket launchers were and how heavy linear fusions are now rendered completely useless because some twitch hero overused it.
-
Lament heals you it's never been a high risk weapon lmao
-
The lament nerf was the only reasonable nerf on the list.
-
2 RepliesHoe many upvotes do they need?
-
Lament will be the only sword anyone will ever use, swords will be like linear fusions, put aside.
-
62 RepliesWithout sunsetting, these nerfs are the only way the game is able to control power creep....and keep the gear that will be added to the game relevant. THIS is what all of you who were against sunsetting have basically forced Bungie to start doing again....and THIS is what sunsetting was trying to get the game AWAY from.
-
Lament is still OP.... And after the next season it will still be a top pick This is why they mostly don't listen to the comunity you guys complains without thinking because they nerfing your toys....
-
Am against all nerfs

2 RepliesDid they lock this thread it was on top where it should be but had to go to notifications to find it.

It made no sense to be honest... They were already the lesser choice, and now they are going to be not even a choice. Why use a sword when a rocket launcher, xenophage or anarchy would be way better. Fills the exotic slot yes, but the Royal entry with 2 good perks can be a amazing heavy legendary heavy.

11 Replies"Swords are too safe. We're nerfing them." Bungo, probably. In all seriousness, I'm always dumbfonded by their nerfs in D2. In D1, if something got a nerf, it reeeaaally needed it. In D2, if something gets nerfed, it's because a lot of people are having fun with and using it.

Gonna love that rocket meta when I play exodus crash and can’t hit the boss because he teleports around or is invisible

So true

22 RepliesI downvoted, because if I wanted to play with swords and with bows and arrows I’d go play Skyrim.

3 Repliesi agree with your post that lament needs a bigger nerf.. good for you noticing it
