Hello
In our GM today I was the last guardian standing at the final boss. The other two players died with the boss at half his health, and we were out of revives. So obviously it took me quite a while solo to get rid of the remaining ads and the last two unstoppable champions before grinding down the boss.
Important note: my dead fireteam was continuously moving their controllers and changing character views from their ghost to me to help me with strategy and boss position and whatnot while I was playing my life and getting damage in whenever I could. Not once were either of them idle.
However, Destiny booted them for inactivity, despite not being idle (just dead).
As a result, once I finally killed the boss, only I was given the completion and the rewards.
This can’t be by design, can it? I assume the normal inactivity timer somehow kicked in, but it’s got to be a glitch because in a GM it is not possible to respawn obviously at that point, but irrespective they were continuously, as in nonstop, moving their controllers and changing views, etc.
I wanted to report this bug as it is extremely frustrating after grinding all week to complete this GM and they didn’t get the rewards they deserve.
Thanks a lot for looking in to it!
Or, if it’s by design... what gives? I mean, if this is how it’s supposed to work, I feel like there should be a timer displayed... but there isn’t supposed to be a timer on GMs where it’s game over if it runs out - only the loss of res’s. Am I missing something? This has never happened before to us and we’ve had plenty of solo clutch finishes in the past that I’m sure took just as long or even longer (looking at you, Insight Terminus, during the first ever GM in D2).
Cheers
