When you preview some shaders with a primary exotic equip that exotic can take on that shader.
So it’s there it’s not implemented. I would have perferd shaders over ornaments or both.
If anything bungie just needs to fully implement it.

What I mean is shaders having an exotic tier to stand out with new flair. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe what you're talking about is the ability to put shaders on exotic weapons. That would also be very cool!

They are basically one in the same. Ornaments were made for a cosmetic change to exotics. Some legendaries have both ornaments and can have shader equipped to them. Exotics can’t do that.
