They have a somewhat low drop rate, take forever to delete from inventory and barely give any reputation. I don’t understand why they exist. Also make it so I can delete my massive stack of pure matter glass lens and rainmaker consumables.

Maybe with the changes to Banshee they'll finally address these useless things.
-
We need a vendor that exchanges any and all types of resources we collect. A one-stop shop type of vendor. Spider helps but not always.
-
Nothing. Just vault space wasters.
-
Damm near everything in this games useless and wastes your time.
-
Mod components...
-
I have no idea why these are still in the game, or why they were ever introduced in the first place. I sometimes think they are here to give players something minor to gripe about in the hope that they forget to complain about other more important issues that are harder to fix.
-
They are useless and have been for a long time.
-
They are there to clutter your inventory & annoy you. A competent company wouldn’t have added them in the 1st place or fixed them a long time ago, but this is bungie we are talking about. Nothing unusual for them. Weapon telemetries are here to stay & remain unaddressed, despite years of community complaints, just like with blues.
-
Something about limiting your inventory space with meaningless garbage that does so little, something actually useless but cosmetic is actually valuable.

Edited by JoseJosh: 4/4/2021 7:13:28 PMTelemetry is probably tied in some weird manner with spaghetti code, so Bungie just can’t disable it, without ruining many other things.

4 RepliesSeriously? Of all things in the game to complain about... it's Weapon Telemetries? There's this thing called a "gunsmith" where you turn in weapon telemetries for World-Drop Legendaries and Gunsmith-Unique weapons. As something you build up over time in the background while playing it's probably one of the better items in the game compared to some actually near-pointless items like the "Rainmaker" Glimmer item that barely does anything even at the best of times. But seriously... of all things... the most inconsequential thing everyone ignores because it's that far in the background and keeps to itself. Much bigger issues with the game exist. Loot problems. Arbitrary design and continuity choices. But you choose this to get upset about?

When a daddy and a momma telemetry get together...
-
Weapon Telemetry is useful for passive gains. Think of it like dividends on your weapon kills. Sure, most of us are swimming in weapon parts, but youll never know when you need to cash in a nice telemetry stack.
-
Turning them in will give you a good amount of enhancement cores and legendary shards. I go through them quite often.
-
Just change it so that next season you turn 100 you get a gun from banshee's two selection
-
3 RepliesWhy would you be taking time to delete them? Do you simply never visit Banshee? As far as how much reputation is given, it takes 100 weapon parts for a rank. It takes 120 telemetry for a rank. Not that big of a difference but it looks like it because of the amount turned in per button press. Should they still be in the game? I don't think so. Are they at least a little bit useful? Yeah. I'd rather see them do something with Mod Components. Once you have all the mods Banshee sells then those are absolutely useless. I will say that I forget I even have Matterglass and Rainmaker consumables in my inventory until I see a post about them in the forums. 🤷♂️

1 ReplyEdited by ArmedPalehorse: 4/4/2021 1:17:32 PMUmmm yeah Matterglass sucks.
-
I think it would be cool if elemental specific weapon telemetries were thing that could allow you to switch the element on legendary energy weapons.
-
2 RepliesThey just exist to build gunsmith rep, something gunsmith materials already do among other things. Telemetry is a failure of some system that either never got implemented or was only made part-way before being abandoned.
They have a somewhat low drop rate
The best part is that they don't even drop naturally. For some reason, the most useless currency in the game requires a ghost shell mod or consuming an equally useless PML to have even a chance of dropping.
-
1 ReplyWhat if they changed them so that they increased the drop rate for playlist weapons for an hour or buffed ammo drop rates in pve.
-
2 RepliesIts a stupid, useless item that Bungie put in the game and the fact that Bungie made mods for our ghosts to create them was just another stupid idea just like how they keep adding more ways to get glimmer.
