First of all, it's very F'd up that a non crucible player HAS TO compete in order to get some accomplishments. But then you put the top 10% players against the bottom 10% players in PVP? REALLY?!?!?! What the -blam!-!!!!!! I don't want to spend the next F'ng 10 years just to be able to get credit for something that will expire in a day, when the next player can do it in 5 minutes!!!!! Fix your f'ing matching for the love of God!!!!!!! I want to be able to do stuff too! It's bad enough nobody wants to have you play a Raid when you haven't cleared it 50 times! Forget about trials! If showdown is this bad, then how the -blam!- will I be able to do Trials????? Yes...I suck at PVP. Does that mean I have to be penalized?!? REALLY?!?!?!???

5 RepliesI’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. CBMM (What we have now) makes PvP more enjoyable for the sweaty players. That are allowed to use whatever weapons they want and curb stomp everyone. SBMM is WAY more friendly for the casual player, People like you with a KD of 0.5 would vs players around the 0.4-0.6 KD range which makes it dramatically more enjoyable and you can slowly improve. Sweaty players hate this as then those with 3 KD’s vs others like that and have to sweat themselves. There KD’s might not actually be “true” KD’s as farming low KD players boost their stats a lot.

3 RepliesShitty ass team balancing, welcome to Destiny :) Here is a tip, if you are a good or decent or heck even above average player, don't play solo, you almost always will face enemies who are at your skill level but get potatoes for teammates

78 RepliesCBMM. ...and why Crucible numbers are down for two years running, since Bungie forced it on the game.
-
1 ReplyYou guys all wanted CBMM this is it.
-
This is Bungie's cbmm, enjoy.
-
8 RepliesI know! Like, I really want eyes of tomorrow, but how is it fair that I am FORCED to play raids to get one. I paid for this game, damn it! Make it drop from patrols!!! Oh wait, I sound -blam!-. Oh wait... I AM -blam!-!

Edited by Wintermute 2050: 4/3/2021 1:59:06 AMBungie has always had clueless employees working on Crucible, but now whomever they have working on it is in the Beyond Clueless category. Examine what they have new players required to complete for the New Light quest: Rumble, Comp, and Elimination. How can anyone be this uninformed that they don't know new players do not belong in the more difficult match types?! I just shake my head in disbelief at the incompetency. Update It gets worse. I have been working on the Gambit quest Quid Pro Quo. Step 3: 3 bounties 4,500 Infamy points Now, I love Gambit, but there sure is a large difference between completing just 3 bounties and 4,500 Infamy points. And then.... Step 4: 3 bounties 4,500 Infamy points This is incompetency at its worst. Whomever created this quest does not have the slightest clue about requirements, and no one is checking work to ensure steps are unique.

Thats how bungie keeps the efficient players efficient. Just like how the rich get richer.

2 RepliesThat’s why I have never cared about Destiny pvp stats. I play for giggles. Y’all sweating dying and losing are stressing yourselves for no reason.
-
How do people play without thumbs while wearing a blindfold with no audio on?
-
2 RepliesI imagine part of the rise of hackers is specifically to get even with the top players and ruin the experience and as many flawless cards as they can.
-
3 RepliesYes if you suck at pvp dont expect all the pvp rewards. Pretty simple concept. Imagine someone who sucks at pve yelling “its unfair i need to raid to get raid weapons!”
-
15 RepliesEdited by ChuckTownRC51: 4/1/2021 8:58:59 PMThere's really no excuse for being a 0.5kd player unless you have a disability or something. You're not matched against the top 10% regularly, you're just matched against average players who are destroying you because you're so bad. Dedicate like 10% of your destiny time to getting better in pvp and you will appreciate cbmm a lot more.
-
The games are usually extra sweaty the week after Iron Banner. I wouldn't worry about it too much. But to be fair, the first 4 games I played this week, there was a top 500 player on the other team. Could just be happenstance, could be MM changes, who knows lol.
But then you put the top 10% players against the bottom 10% players in PVP?
It’s not much better when they split the top and bottom 10% between the two teams. Every game of Invasion I play, I gotta watch Jimmy-just-got-an-Xbox-for-Christmas and his friends get three kills between them and lose all of our power weapons and vehicles in the process. The other team’s pet noob at least manages a .5 k/d.
If showdown is this bad, then how the -blam!- will I be able to do Trials?????
You won’t. That’s not the point of Trials.

1 ReplyThe real issue is there are only a couple of people out there with this skill. The issue is the mods aka cheaters. It doesn't matter what your kda is because they have aimbots. They are cheating you are not

1 ReplyDon't listen to people speaking negatively. While yes they do have valid points, being a jerk or trying to be a passive aggressive a-hole doesn't help you any, and will turn you off from the crucible experience...keeping you from wanting to improve. They wonder why people say the "higher skilled" players just want to curb stomp others and wonder why they only got matched with the worst sweats when sbmm was active. People like that are part of the reason the crucible population consistently dwindled. Point is lobby balancing is bad, always has been. Even with skill based matchmaking. With the current system, there's many times where my team has crushed the other team game after game after game. It isn't fun for me. Just like there's been many times in a row where I've been put in teams where we were ran over repeatedly. Of course it doesn't happen all the time, but don't listen to people that try to make it seem it doesn't happen or can't happen. Their default argument is always "ur just bad... Get better or quit". That's as bad as the people that insist trials weapons should be strike rewards to level the playing field.

3 RepliesYep, God forbid they put challenges for all the content in this game right?
-
4 RepliesHow about me being put with 0.5 players. I literally top board and lose games because bot teammates get farmed.
-
Edited by hate n payne: 4/2/2021 1:23:33 AMBungie Logic. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️. Dont be too down in the dumps. Most of the top 10% are usually getting carried by their teammates with teamshooting and by Bungie with the META and special abuse.
-
Because pvp, by its nature, is competitive. It’s not something that you can just go into and pretend to do well at with whatever loadout.
-
I 100% agree with you. I don’t want .5 players on my team either. Not only are they not having a good time getting their shit kicked in. I’m also not having a good time because they feed the enemy team kills. It’s a lose/lose for everyone involved
-
I stopped playing again for this reason😂 that and stasis. Crucible has actually never been this bad and the realization it was going to only get worse crushed my faint enjoyment I had for the game.
-
5 RepliesBecause of Connection based matchmaking. Only tryhards want CBMM. Most players want Skill based matchmaking
-
Low efficiency players are fodder for streamers and content creators. Bungie needs all the promotional support they can get Destiny’s active player base is down more than 75%. Steam stats: Oct 2019 292,314 March 2021 53,350
-
3 RepliesBungies wants you to piggy back the .9 players because they cant win games on there own
