If 70 is the highest base stat an armor piece potentially can drop, why are my high-stat armor drops from Iron Banner packages, raids, High Celebrant, and solo legend & master lost sectors under 60? What would be so game-breaking to higher the frequency of the upper 60s and 70 in armor base stat totals?
70s are so rare near impossible but unless they are the right distribution of what the player wants they become useless. High-Stat armor drops threshold should be between 60-70. Regardless if it is the ideal distribution, if I acquire an armor piece that is 62 or less I'm scraping it. I did Iron Banner on all three characters this week, which takes a bit a time, and have nothing to show for it.
Please Bungie, make high-stat armor drops worth going for.

2 RepliesThe fact that anything from the raids drop less than 64 is a slap in the face but here I am getting stat rolls less than 60... Anything master level or endgame should drop master and endgame level loot.

1 ReplyEdited by TheShadow: 3/31/2021 12:37:39 AM
Please Bungie, make high-stat armor drops worth going for.
I'm still waiting for stats to actually matter in this game and Bungie to stop manipulating the system because I don't like how their system hinders the player. Higher stats don't really mean anything if they are not working as intended to be. But wait, there are mods, right? 😄 The mods are a joke within themselves that barely do anything that you would notice differences leveling up. It was nice playing D1 to where stats actually mattered and there wasn't this stupid mod system that hasn't improved anything in this game. You know, because the artifact was originally created in D1 to (improve the Guardians experience), not like D2 that limits our options and is a form of control on what we used each session, removing (players choice) 🤦♂️

1 ReplyIt’s a dumb system to be honest. Not only do we have to rely on rng for the specific gear in the first place, then we have to rely on rng again to determine stats, level and which element it will be

There are high stat armour drops?😂
-
Play as alt watch how much higher it drops. Bungie just want you wasting time on this never ending hamster wheel. High stat drops are not truly high either. They are just closer to being masterworked. Its all same old hamster wheel BS.
-
1 ReplyI can't remember the last time I've seen anything drop higher than 62, not including season pass rewards.
-
6 RepliesHave you seen a unicorn in the game?... Hunting for 70 stats in this game is like hunting for unicorns. I have a better chance of finding a unicorn, at least I found one in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.😂 Hamster's favorite activity is running on wheels. So yeah, Run Hamsters, Run! That reminds of Forrest. Haha! Life is like a box of chocolate, you'll never know what you gonna get! Maybe a unicorn?...but not a 70 stat armor!😂 Not in this game!😂 RUN!!! 😂😂😂 Logic! 💩!

Because they want you to buy the season pass.
-
1 ReplyTo sell Season pass.
-
i dont know ANYONE that has an armour role of 70. its like theyre afraid to give us good stat roles.

2 RepliesEdited by ryebar: 3/30/2021 5:43:01 AMAgree. My armour sets from previous seasons are better than what I’ve had drop this season by a large margin. Even the Season Pass got nerfed. The Prafectus high stat set from the pass isn’t as good as the Wild Hunt set from last season. Weaker armour seems to have been implemented on purpose for reasons totally unknown.

9 RepliesI have a pair of Wing Theorem Gauntlets with a natural stat total of 45, I didn't know it could go that low until I got them.
-
I'm just glad I got high stat rolls in past seasons and that they aren't going to sunset them anymore.

69 0 0 0 0 1
-
Yup, that's why I focus more on finding gear with as few wasted stats as possible and only in expensive to mod stats like int and recovery

2 RepliesEdited by HaVoK308: 3/30/2021 10:46:45 PMI have 80s and 70s (final stat after upgrading) for several armor pieces. I have not changed them in months. Why bother. High stat armor is beyond rare. You stand a better chance of an exotic dropping. Ornaments and extreme rarity, make every piece of armor I obtain worthless.
-
I got a few OK pieces in Iron Banner for completing the quest and bounties, but nothing that compares to my armor from a few seasons ago. I keep wearing old armor. I haven't worn any new armor since Beyond Light launched because the stats are so low.
-
1 ReplyTo me that's the real end game is getting those godly stat roll armor. It's the hardest thing to get in the game especially with the stat distribution you like.
-
2 RepliesI've never seen a base stat armor of 70 maybe master worked. Do you have a source saying that 70 is the max stat a armor piece can drop.
-
Before this season, you could get over 60 stat pieces all the time....now it's rare. I guess they sunsetted those too.
-
6 RepliesI’ve not seen a higher drop the 67 drop ever, don’t even know if it’s possible. That said, High star armor doesn’t mean much to me. The right distribution is way more important. A 24 Int and 24 Rec 56 roll total is WAY better the a 66 roll with 11 in everything
-
1 ReplyEdited by Guardian6969: 3/30/2021 6:54:44 PMImagine getting stompees with a 68 stat roll, but roll is with over 20 resilience and strength. For me that’s an auto-dismantle exotic lol high stats don’t always matter if they’re not where you want them.
-
17 RepliesI got a 71 piece of armour.
-
55+ is the norm for "high stat" these days. Just get the distribution you want and go from there. I dont obsess over 60+ legendaries. They're unicorns basically.
-
1 ReplyWith my play time of around 2300 hours (??) I have got One item with 70 stat One with 69 stat And maybe dozen from 66-68 area. This season I have also noticed that I get much more NOT so good distributions, like high resilience for Hunter armour. I am almost 100% certain that armour distribution is NOT at all pure RNG, instead there is pool made by Bungie. Reason I believe it is like that is that on previous seasons 11 and 12 I got two arma and two legs armours with 100% identical stat distribution. That is like winning in lottery four times in a year. But I still think that armour with high stat should not drop like candy.

4 RepliesUnless your absolutely min/maxing to the extremes, there’s zero reason to even hunt for ridiculously high stat armor. You can do every PvE activity with 48 stat armor easily, PvP is probably the place where every stat matters but even then... With Sunsetting gone there’s no rush whatsoever to get the right armor pieces. You’ve probably got a set or two over the last year and you’ll get more over the next
