Why isn't there an option to auto-delete blues??
Title is pretty self explanatory. Why am I spending a significant proportion of my time heading to the tower to break down a bunch of blue armour? Why can't i set it so that they just drops me the gunsmith materials and glimmer instead?? Why am i having to ask this in 2021???

2 RepliesWhy not give blues a facelift and make them somewhat viable? There are some diamonds in the rough there... Obviously they are a downgrade on Legendary weapons in which they have one perk (trait), lesser options to play around with overall and slightly less stats. Cast our minds back to D2Y1 and all non endgame Legendary weapons had one perk and we actually survived. Two is better than one but it wasn’t the worst. Why not make them semi interesting by giving them random rolls, make them infusible to max light? As for a longshot, maybe the potential to accept mods? Make them comparable to D2Y1 Legendaries with random rolls? We cry for loot in this game and there is about 50 plus blues just sitting there staring at us. I feel we could be pleasantly surprised by some of them. The current order of succession is as follows: White - Frame, Sights/Barrel Green - Frame, Sights/Barrel, Magazine Blue - Frame, Sights/Barrel, Magazine, Trait Legendary - Frame, Sights/Barrel, Magazine, 2 Traits Exotic - Intrinsic Exotic Perk, Barrel, Magazine, Secondary Exotic Perk/Trait, Grip, Catalyst

Considering the fact that this question has been asked for years, probably due to one of three reasons: 1. It is known to Bungie that players want this added, its just low priority 2. It would be difficult for them to add such a feature and continue making new content + fixing bugs 3. They just don't view it as necessary Personally, I think its probably a combination of reasons 1 and 2.

You have to get your food pellet for completing your task. It's not just Bungie, a lot of games are using behavioral science and applying compulsion loops. I don't think Bungie considers small amounts of materials and glimmer adequate behavior reinforcement on their own. Until they actually change it and prove me wrong, I'm going to assume it's on purpose.

Because then you would realize you don’t get loot for complete crucible, strikes, or gambit games except an occasional purple

I've had blue drops at or around 1300, so it's no big deal for me.

1 ReplyHow about they add “mark as junk” and “delete all junk”. That way you can just select all the garbage in your inventory or postmaster and dismantle.

There's nothing more infuriating than blues getting a good role weapon or exotic deleted coz you forgot to head to tower.

The game is built around blue drops. Remove them and the game will implode

Because they are necessary for leveling and after you hit the powerful max. They become useless. Although I do get a crap tonne if matirials from them.

Honestly, they need to get rid of the color system, get rid of the numbers, just make everything blatantly hard, everything needs to be grandmaster difficulty (even better, two shots and dead (make it worse than dark souls)) without the guarantee of rewards. The only clout to spout would be completing crazy missions that have enemies like guardians, fast and super aggressive...like an overload captain except 100% more health, dmg, and they teleport to you to kill you...and spam kill you...until you realizing the actual concept and point the game is trying to achieve.
