Master Lost Sector is a scam.
I've long wanted a Titan to feel like a Titan. Sitting there, taking all the damage and slowly trugging on despite it all. Pushing through the pain and helping his or her fireteam no matter the damage they take.
So I loved playing Code of the Commander. or Code of the Protector.
But the Defensive Strike is hard to proc as often as I'd like, and the Banner Shield is easy to break with a simple shotty or staggered by a snipper. That's PvP and I couldn't care less about that game mode.
But the fact I can be knocked back by a ground slam while I'm guarding, but it can straight up kill me, not with damage, but by bouncing me straight up into the ceiling. BS.
But then you released Icefall Mantle. Take your barrier and wear it. Finally. I can be the tank I've always wanted.
But no. NO! I need to be 20 power levels above the season limit to fight through a brutal lost sector. Fine. I'll do it. Do a Master lostsector, get over 60k, platinum rewards, and I get...

This is just one run, but I've done many runs. Many many runs. and this is the worst I've seen, true, but still.
No armor, no weapons, nothing. I've got a Screen shot if you need proof. {Not sure how to upload that here.} That's BS. Bungie make it a goal not a random chance. Like Forks!

3 RepliesJesus, its like you all expect exotics to be handed to you on a silver platter... If you want an exotic that bad, you should be happy to grind for it. Exotics in D2 are more common than some legendary stuff. It shouldnt be that way, I remember back in D1, the chance to get exotics was low, the excitement of getting an exotic was worth it though. I remember doing the malok strike like 50 times before I got that helmet to drop, yes it was a legendary. Yes is was disheartening seeing other guardians get it strike after strike but once I got it, the feeling was worth the grind. Exotics are exotics for a reason, they should be rare, There is no joy in getting an exotic in D2 (apart from the raid ones) because they are way too common. Sure maybe once you obtain an exotic, there should be a way to grind for the stats you want. But you shouldn't be able to get exotics from activities as easy as lost sectors unless the drop rate is extremely low.

Yet you can play a single Iron Banner match.....which takes less time if it gets mercied.....and the game rewards you with more loot that you'll get grinding end-game lost sectors. Bungie stinginess in PVE.

Do the legend lost sector instead of the master. The difference in percent chance for an exotic to drop between the two is barely noticable, and you can complete legend lost sectors much faster. Also, 1300 is much easier than 1330.

2 RepliesRNG Exotics are a TERRIBLE design philosophy for endgame content. Luck is not skill and it disrespects a player's honest efforts. That decision singlehandedly killed my enthusiasm for D2 endgame and why I only cleared VoG once back in D1. Having a clear path to get Malice and the OG Outbreak made me so interested in raiding. I've just got too many games to willingly run 30+ raids and a zillion Lost Sectors for nothing.

Unless you are very good and can rip through them quickly they are not worth the effort as the loot pool as you said is terrible. I gave up on them there lots of other activities that are more rewarding of you time investment.

waste of time. Loved the idea at first, but after getting screwed over countless times of running throuhg them I gave up. Its going to be another one of those things bungie is going to have to add to questlines, or triumphs to get me to do em.. loot pool and incentive is absolute trash.

29 RepliesHave you’ve ever played other MMO games before. In other game rare armor are actually rare. People farm for hours or days and would t get the drop. Destiny is a shooter/mmo game and I think their drop rate are pretty good.

4 RepliesRunning on Legendary it took me about 12 runs to get the chest armor across all three characters. I also got two other exotics during the runs. Each run took between 10 and 12 minutes. Doesn't seem too bad to me.

I love seeing it as a "common" drop but they aren't common for crap from Lost Sectors. Kind of why I said screw the Master one. I'll do the lower ones for although they claim "uncommon" the drop rate seems to be better for much faster that can be cleared.

1 ReplyThey should just removed the limitation for exotics to drop on solo-runs. It should have a very low change when playing in a fireteam. And a higher one when playing solo. Rewards should never tied behind "Solo" completitions. Destiny states itself as an MMO. So let me goddamn play all the time with friends and people.

During the Season 12 campaign I did E 15 lost sector on Europa for 30 hrs total and 6 hrs straight at a time for 5 days. I got one Anthrys Embrace and about a half dozen exotics for arms. Got nothing for Titan and Warlock. Bungie tracks just about everything in this game so they know what the drop rates are. The simple fact is they like players playing that long it makes them look good. I haven't bothered to keep doing lost sectors it's a waste of time and I have a full time job and a family. This is what I do to relax and destress this isnt what I want for a job.

You don't have to be recommended level for master lost sectors. Being at hard cap is plenty good and I'm the proof both last season and this season. Sure it makes them easier but if you can them on Legend, Master isn't much harder, just have to play a little more carefully.

That was the last time I did a legend lost sector - I'm not wasting my time with this. I think the point Bungie needs to know is that it says that Exotic armor drops are stated as: "Common" drops on Solo Master. But anyone running them seems more likely to get a legendary armor drop rather than an exotic. I hear you, dude. I only hope that Bungie is actually listening.

Wait what? Iam only doing the 1300 ones and at least every 3rd run gives an exotic. Today the cosmodorm one took like 5 minutes maximum to do. Yes rng sucks because first it needs to be drop, then it needs the one you want and then good stats. I don't think there is any reason to do the 1330 version if it takes like 10+ minutes to complete if the exotic don't have a 100% drop rate there.
